What Song Did You Dance To At Your Wedding?

Aunt Bea fried some chicken. :D

We had a reception with good food, good friends and family, but it was pretty tame. We didn't have a DJ or music. We were young and paying for most of our own wedding. I don't even remember much of the details other than my wife was stunning and she made me the happiest man on Earth that day.

I have a cousin who had a very similar wedding reception. It was like the nicest dressed Thanksgiving dinner you'd ever have the chance to go to. It was great.

That is ALL that matters..............except the chicken.

Baby Got Back
You went with that instead of "I Like Big Butts"?

Colour My World

My folks danced to "Just You 'n Me" by Chicago. Chicago's honestly not really my cup of tea, but I always thought it was pretty cool that my dad had part of the lyrics from the song inscribed in my mom's wedding ring - "Loving you, girl, is so damn easy..." My mom's uncle was a jeweler and had made their rings, and apparently my dad had to do some serious sweet talking to get him to inscribe the word "damn" into a wedding ring.

"Always and Forever"

One of my all-time faves.

I'd pay a large amount of money to see Clizzy dance. A large amount of money.

I have a couple friends who are getting married in September. They're going with Forever by Ben Harper. Great first dance song, though not popular. I love the lyrics. My brother and sister-in-law's song was Lucky by Ben Folds. I was proud to actually have a part in them choosing that song because I randomly introduced them to it a couple months prior to the wedding. As soon as they heard it, they were hooked.

Being a typical girl, I've thought a little about this question for when I get married...whenever that may be. I used to lean towards Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd, but it's a little mainstream for me these days. I recently discovered Shape of Us by Ian Britt and fell in love with that song right away.

This is going to be mine...

We're toying with the idea of having three of my groomsmen (all very accomplished musicians) play it, but that's still kindof up in the air.

Forever is a GREAT song for a first dance. I actually played and sang Ben Fold's "Luckiest" for a friend of mine and wife at their wedding for their first dance. Good songs.

Steven Curtis Chapman's "I Will Go There With You."

Sadly, I could remember yours, but not my own. I'll have to go to the tape.

Same song.
