August 15, 201214 yr Oh. That makes is worse than I had originally thought. Yes. I originally thought it was to a much more 'mixed' crowd. I wonder how 'y'all' comes across on the teleprompter. "Y'all", "yawl", "yall"? I do not think the good man from Pennsylvania and Delaware used this southern slang growing up.
August 15, 201214 yr Campaign ads from both sides seem to be targeted towards morons who don't know anything. You have to look long and hard (which I don't) to find positive, truthful ones.

No doubt about it. For the life of me I cannot remember a bigger bumbling idiot than Biden. If Obama gets reelected that consolation prize is 4 more years of this ding dong.

August 15, 201214 yr Beat me to the punch. Palin Katie Couric Interview - YouTube Though Palin, Gore, and you could also include Dan Quaill, had their moments. They pale in comparison to Biden. Look at it this way, for the better portion of 4 years the current administration had hid Biden, and rightfully so. Yet, at just about every opportunity he says something stupid. Remember dropping the profanity into a live mic? I think Gore is a whack job but next to Biden he is Doc Brown. Edited August 15, 201214 yr by spindoc

August 15, 201214 yr That was a big...deal. You remember. If I were Obama I would put Biden back in chain just like he was for the past 3 1/2 years.
August 15, 201214 yr On a related note, the first REALLY negative ad that I remember was one run by the McGovern campaign. Best I can remember, President Nixon had just announced the ending of the war in Vietnam. Ad had a mother of a recently slain soldier, saying in effect "the war is not over and the President is lying". That may not be entirely accurate, as I was 17 years old at the time. Lots of water and other substances under the bridge since then. But that particular ad has always stayed with me. Edited August 15, 201214 yr by mcpapa
August 15, 201214 yr Author Romney is getting a bit tougher in his responses to the Obama campaign: Mitt Romney used a tough new campaign speech to personally blast the Obama campaign on Tuesday, saying comments earlier in the day from Vice President Biden are “what an angry and desperate Presidency looks like.” “Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago,” Romney said while campaigning in Ohio… “His campaign and his surrogates have made wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the Presidency. Another outrageous charge came a few hours ago in Virginia. And the White House sinks a little bit lower,” Romney said. “This is an election in which we should be talking about the path ahead, but you don’t hear any answers coming from President Obama’s re-election campaign. That’s because he’s intellectually exhausted, out of ideas, and out of energy. And so his campaign has resorted to diversions and distractions, to demagoguing and defaming others. This is an old game in politics; what’s different this year is that the president is taking things to a new low.” Link
August 15, 201214 yr Joe Biden is dumb.  What's even worse is I bet there were at least 20 people in that crowd that are currently at work swearing that Mitt Romney is going to bring back slavery so vote for Obama.
