Magazines don't kill people, regardless of their size. Limiting capacity of available magazines will do absolutely nothing to stop or even deter this type of crime.

 

Perfect example, the guy in Maryland. So he can only carry half the bullets per gun, then he can just plan to use more guns.....

You're missing the point ENTIRELY. Angry mob. Thieves, thugs, hooligans, hoods chaotically running through the streets. Which ones are armed? How many are armed? What are they armed with? The fact that they didn't arm themselves with .45s but instead with AKs should tell you something. That's THE point.

 

If you're in that situation, which would you prefer? A gun with 6 rounds? 13? 14? Would you rather have a rifle that has a 30 round capacity? I know what my choice would be. A lot less chance getting shot than reloading a gun of lesser capacity, it's a no brainer.

I don't know, but the point of my post was that crime went up in two of the biggest cities after their gun bans went into place. So banning guns in Chicago and DC didn't seem to have the desired outcome of lower crime.

What has that to do with laws concerning possible crimes ,ie bank robbery shootings and assults , murder there are all laws covering thse crimes before they are committed . As per your statement If there is a proven criminal conspiracy among Union leaders or Business leaders we don't ban the union or businesses we punish the criminals .

Not at all. A previously law abiding citizen could decide to mow down pedestrians on a crowded sidewalk. Should we then ban cars? How about a previously law abiding union pipe fitter uses a piece of pipe to bash in the heads of a few co-workers? Should we then ban pipe? If you start banning everything that someone could use to inflict harm on another person it doesn't leave a whole lot of legal products. There are already laws in place that provide penalties for using legal products illegally. Enforce them. As callus as it may sound you can't save everyone from evil people no matter how many laws you pass.

Conspiracy is a crime in and of itself as is attempted murder. An action was actually taken with criminal intent. Big difference. Not everyone who legally purchases hi capacity mags are doing it intending to commit a crime. I'll make this concession, if it can be proven that a person attempted to buy a high capacity mag with the intent of commiting a crime with it make that illegal, but I would bet if you dug deeply enough you would find that they already exist.
