July 23, 201214 yr Author Nope. Vacated wins are not moved to the win column for the opponent... Awwwww...way to rain on UK's parade. Hater.:lol:
July 23, 201214 yr Nope. Vacated wins are not moved to the win column for the opponent... Figures.
July 23, 201214 yr Nope. Vacated wins are not moved to the win column for the opponent... So UK lost to no one? That takes talent!
July 23, 201214 yr Is the loss removed? And for the record I hate vacating wins. Though in this instance I can understand its reason.
July 23, 201214 yr Is the loss removed? And for the record I hate vacating wins. Though in this instance I can understand its reason. Nope. Much like the history of UK football, everyone loses...
July 23, 201214 yr I don't really get the vacated wins thing in this situation. Would someone that agrees with it explain why you agree?

July 23, 201214 yr They took the all time wins mark away from Paterno... I got that. But I just feel like wins should be taken away for cheating. Not necessarily an issue like this.

Well...many opinions are that JoePa should have rightly gone to jail or at least been fired for covering up a pederast working in his athletic building. You can't rack up wins when you're in jail or fired from your job. The NCAA is taking away the wins that Paterno accrued after "the point where he should have lost his job".
July 23, 201214 yr They took the all time wins mark away from Paterno... The problem with doing so it that the fact only remains on paper. While Bowden will "officially" be the winningest coach, everyone will know in reality Patreno has the most wins. I have always looked at vacating wins as a "feel good" thing to do for appearance purposes instead of anything of substance.

I have always looked at vacating wins as a "feel good" thing to do for appearance purposes instead of anything of substance. It is how I have always felt. To me this one was more symbolic as to the stance the NCAA is taking against PSU in that they are trying to fully wipe their hands of the program. Most wins stripped have relative no meaning. You take away Cal's 35 wins or however many, big deal. Doubt he ever eclipses any type of significant milestone that will not be surpassed by many more. This one was the king enchilada for coaching in football.
July 23, 201214 yr Nope. Much like the history of UK football, everyone loses... That about sums up football at UK. The only winners are opponents.
