July 5, 201214 yr Talking about a signing out of left field. He went from going from bad (Toronto) to better (New York) to a contender within a weeks time. One last run for Kobe and the gang.
July 5, 201214 yr He wanted to be close to his kids with a chance to win a title. He left over $10 M on the table. He is allegedly recruiting Grant Hill. It would be nice to have a decent bench. I wonder if this makes LA more attractive to DH?
July 5, 201214 yr The Lakers got better regardless of Nash's age. Steve Blake and Ramon Sessions were the point guards last year and even though the Lakers lost 4-1 to OKC games 2-4 were separated by 8 points. Point guard play has been the most suspect thing for the Lakers for years. Even when they won their two titles it was easy to see that point guard was their weakest position. That is no longer an issue with Nash at the point. I expect big things next year IF everyone stays healthy. The Laker big men just became more effective AND Kobe can just focus on what he does best.....scoring the basketball. I'm super geeked.
July 5, 201214 yr As RP re-tweeted if the Lakers get Hill as well as Nash they are setting themselves up to win the 2005 NBA Championship.

July 5, 201214 yr Does this change the coaching philosophy? Or the coach? I don't have faith that Brown can do that. I doubt they fire him at this point.
