July 15, 201214 yr Author Rosters are locked. I will start tomorrow setting the keepers on the MFL site. I plane to everything setup and we can start the unofficial part of the draft by Monday and move into the official draft on Friday morning.
July 15, 201214 yr I know I'm one of the new guys but this part of the league is perplexing to me. In essance a person with multiple guys to keep are gaining a HUGE advantage while losing nothing. Logic would dictate that if you get 2 keeper spots and you trade 1 keeper you can only keep 1. Anyway, not trying to make waves, like I said I'll compete under the league rules, but this certainly further handicaps new comers. I'm with you. I don't see how you can trade a player who's not a keeper.
July 15, 201214 yr Was it a bad trade for me to get a top 10 player in MJD for only a 5th round pick? Yours is not nearly the level at the Gronk trade. Yours I somewhat get. But between the picks and him getting Andre Johnson. Your trade may have made your team slightly better but The picks he received in the trades helped GT WAY more than anyone else. Barring injury GT should win the National conf with ease.
July 15, 201214 yr I'm with you. I don't see how you can trade a player who's not a keeper. Your previous seasons roster is all yours until the cut down date, and the keeper rule is attached to two players on each team after 2 rounds of the draft. Those have been the rules all along...

Maybe I have a short memory but I don't ever remember any of this going on in previous years. Maybe I just didn't pay attention. You did a great job, I'll look to take advantage of this rule in the future.

I like what it adds to the league. If you draft well the year before there is value going forward. Just another layer to the best fantasy league on the planet...

July 15, 201214 yr All players involved have to be kept is what I've always thought. Is that correct? I believe so. That is why I reneged on my trade. I incorrectly thought I'd keep my second round pick and lose my third. Instead I would have lost my second round and third round pick.
