July 13, 201214 yr If you think you can get a player above what will be available in the 2nd round, it is a gamble worth taking. You don't lose a 2nd round pick, you gain a keeper that you value above what will be there in the 2nd. It's certainly risk/reward but far from not making any sense. I guarantee some would have done the deal for Gronk before last year given what they got from their 2nd and 3rd picks. He dominated the TE position and gave me a huge position advantage on the way to the title. I'm sure you could have used him as your team faded into Bloivian... :sssh: Kudos for the Bloivian reference! :thumb: :lol:
