If you could have any Active MLB manager who would you pick?

Maddon, and no one is close in my book.

Mike Scoscia. I love the way he manufactures runs when the offense gets stagnant. He always has his runners in motion creating defensive problems.

My claim to fame is playing against the 10u AABC baseball team that Jim Leyland coached.

For all those Dusty haters, he has a better winning percentage than Maddon and he is second only to Leyland in most wins among active managers.

I like Sciosia. I like what Mattingly seems to be getting done in LA. But I think for my pick I am going to go with .....

Davey Johnson. I have always thought he was a great manager and was surprised he was out of the game for as long as he was.

Joe Maddon...not all that close.

Absolutely. :thumb:

All those are good choices. I'm kind of partial to Davey Johnson.

Homer. :p
True, but look at his payroll over the years and the bang he's gotten for the buck. It's hard to deny him his due.

Maddon, Showalter and Johnson ... it would be hard to top those three from the current crop.
