May 19, 201214 yr This is the same league that has 2 different set of rules or each league. I'm not surprised. Seems silly to me as well. There are definitely some weird things about the MLB and one of them is the two diff sets of rules for the leagues. Another thing I was curious about is the # of teams in each division. Some easy changes could be made to even up all divisions.
May 19, 201214 yr Me too, for that matter. I do think it would be cool to see some of them dressed to the nines like Mack did, or in football like how Tom Landry did. Just call it the anti-Belichick look.

I think the Astros are supposed to move to the American League. That will make 6 divisions of 5 teams and cause there to be at least on interleague series at all times.
May 19, 201214 yr They should not wear them. It looks even worse when high school coaches wear the team uniform!! They look like beer league softball guy still trying to live his Al Bundy type dream.
May 19, 201214 yr Didn't the NFL squash that idea when former 49ers coach Mike Nolan wanted to wear a suit at a game? I'm thinking they told him no, it had to be officially licensed team gear. Yup. I found the NFL's decision to be ridiculous. The NFL does a lot of things right, and a lot of things wrong. One of the wrongest (is that a word?) is its painstaking efforts to sanitize and corporatize very single aspect of its image.
May 19, 201214 yr Two seconds after seeing "toothpick" and his multiple wrist bands I see this thread.

May 21, 201214 yr You have to agree that it wouldn't work in any other sport. Imagine any basketball coach wearing a team uniform and it makes baseball look classy.
