Not sure what to think but leaning against it.

If true I am concerned because it tells me the Gals are not confident with their current crop of WRs.

I could see that or I could also see it as them recognizing that they can really open up the offense and have a lot of big plays if they can get someone opposite of Green. I personally think they'll be fine either way but he could certainly help if the price is right.

I was kind of hoping they might go after Jacoby Jones. I'm not sure who would be better for Cincy, but I think I'd go with Jones over Edwards.

My initial reaction is NOOOOOOOOOOOO! But that is based on nothing but my percieved reputation that Edwards has (being trouble). I could be wrong.

Wasnt he a Brown at one point? why do we want what the Browns threw away?

Not sure why anyone would be against this. If healthy, Edwards is heads and shoulders above any WR on their roster not named Green.

While he is talented I think I would rather keep both the guys they drafted and every other WR that is already on the roster...The team is young and doesn't need chemistry problems and all of the WR's they have seem hungry...An Edwards signing would mean one of our young WR's would have to be cut, even without another signing one or two may be cut...I'd like to see what Binns can show everyone, I am also intrigued by Sanu, Jones and Tate...And my personal favorite is the speedy slot guy baby Hawk...

Edwards has always had a little bit of a diva reputation and some legal troubles including his feud with LeBron. From Wikipedia:

Legal issues

Edwards has often been in trouble with the law as he has been pulled over several times over the last eight years for speeding violations.[11] The most recent of which was in October 2008 when he was pulled over for driving 120 mph in a 65 mph zone.[12]

Two days before being traded to the New York Jets, on October 5, 2009, Edwards reportedly punched Edward Givens, a local party promoter, in the face at 2:30 A.M. outside of the View Ultralounge & Nightclub.[13] Givens, who is an acquaintance of LeBron James, alleged that Edwards was jealous of James' success thus prompting Edwards' attack. This prompted James to call the incident "childish."[13] On October 26, 2009, Edwards was charged with misdemeanor assault[13] and later plead no contest to the charge of aggravated assault on January 12, 2010.[14] Edwards was given a suspended 180-day jail sentence, was fined $1,000 and placed on inactive probation.[14] Though Edwards offered no explanation or apology for his actions, he reportedly regretted the entire ordeal according to his lawyer.[14] The NFL did not suspend Edwards for his actions.[15]

On September 21, 2010, Edwards was arrested on a drunken driving charge in New York early in the morning.[12] He was originally pulled over for having excessively tinted windows on his Range Rover.[12] Police smelled alcohol on Edwards who blew 0.16—twice the legal limit.[12] He was arrested on a DWI charge.[12] He is still on probation for the altercation that occurred in October 2009.[12]

From purely a talent standpoint I do like Edwards but I am scared he could bring trouble to the locker room/team.

When I first read it I thought you said not sure why anyone would want him, because these are the types of guys we usually don't hear about you wanting. However it makes sense that you want him, because he is from Michigan and your a Michigan fan correct? :D

I am just messing with you, I honestly wouldn't have a problem with it if they got him as long as he is fully healthy. However I don't have a problem with it either if they don't end up really trying to get him. Either way is good with me.

Well I don't know if it as much as not being confident, rather than just not knowing. Its really hard to tell what you have until they start practicing since they have so many young guys. With Edwards you know what you will have if he is healthy, in these rookies they have no clue yet.

Jones has had every oppportunity in Houston and never took advantage of the injuries to AJ. I don't think Houston will lose any sleep over him not being on their roster.

If the Bengals are looking to take a flyer on a wide receiver with locker room issues, on the back end of his career, I would prefer maneuvering to get Chad back rather than Braylon Edwards.

Braylon has recidivist legal issues and drops a lot of passes. The Bengals best bet is to roll with Binns, Hawkins, Shipley or the rookies in the #2 receiver slot.

And Tate...
