May 9, 201214 yr From purely a talent standpoint I do like Edwards but I am scared he could bring trouble to the locker room/team. When have the Bengals been afraid of trouble in the locker room? I thought they liked this kind of player.
May 9, 201214 yr If the Bengals are looking to take a flyer on a wide receiver with locker room issues, on the back end of his career, I would prefer maneuvering to get Chad back rather than Braylon Edwards. Braylon has recidivist legal issues and drops a lot of passes. The Bengals best bet is to roll with Binns, Hawkins, Shipley or the rookies in the #2 receiver slot. Acquiring Chad would be a much bigger mistake than Braylon. I could do without either.

I would prefer Chad, he is clean off the field and is already comfortable in Cincy...Jay Grudens offense along with a young qb that can sling it could be what Chad needs...Palmer was a waste his last couple of years in Cincy which is backed up by what he did in NE last year...Id love to have Chad Johnson back, not the Ocho...He could be hungry and rejuvenated and he is also blocked in NE and couldnt never find a rythym...If the Bengals could get Chad for cheap I would be all for it, after what he went through last year I think he would accept a number 2 role and keep his mouth shut...

You do realize that Chad was one of the bigger problems, and one of the reasons too for why the Bengals offense got worse the last few years when he was here. He stopped caring about football, and then we started seeing him and Palmer always not on the same page. We seen Chad go to New England and not learn the offense and not run the right routes, while we seen Palmer come in during the middle of the season and learn an offense. Chad couldn't run the right routes anymore in an offense he was in for 8 years, and then showed last year he can't learn a new one that quickly. So no reason to think he would learn this one that great, and the West Coast is all about timing and being in the right spot which Chad does not do. It would not be a good thing to have Palmer back. The Bengals are better off without Chad or Palmer.
May 9, 201214 yr And no way on Chad, no chance, zero, nada, zip!!! I prefer neither, I'd rather stay in house and keep the young trend...They have TE's that are dangerous, Green is Dangerous and the young guys have lots and lots of potential...
May 9, 201214 yr I would take 100 chances on Braylon before I would bring Chad back. I will agree with you on this, but I dont want Edwards either.

Like I opened with, I lean no but I am not totally against it if the Bengals powers that be think this is the correct move. I just don't want a sometimes bad apple to ruin what the Bengals appear to have going on.
