April 11, 201214 yr All other considerations aside, hypothetically speaking, if Petrino winds up at Kentucky, how well do you think he'd do recruiting against the bastions of SEC football? I know he had decent success at UL, but the conference was very different. I know he won 21 games over the last 2 seasons at Arkansas. Could he recruit as well at Kentucky? Could he have the same success on the field? I think he could and I think he's worth the risk.

Petrino would make the program more attractive to better coaches than Joker will after his three years are up.
