March 30, 201214 yr There is no winners in this mess. What I really hate is that the truth will never be known.
March 30, 201214 yr This is why I HATE religious and political forums on BGP now days. It is NOT like it was just a few years ago! I agree with you UKMF!
March 30, 201214 yr You mean to tell me you see no differences in this and the Trayvon Martin case? You have to be joking. The two cases are nothing alike. What's the name of the two teens that committed this act? Oh that's right, they don't know who they are. What's that? The police are searching for them to arrest and charge? Well by golly, that's sure a lot different than the Martin case where the killer is known, and walking free because the cops have botched the investigation at every turn. You see only what you want to see and what fits your agenda. Just curious, what exactly have the cops "botched at every turn"? As for these two cases, they are obviously very different. Pouring gasoline on someone and setting them on fire is obviously an intentional assault. We don't know what the Zimmerman/Martin case will turn out to be.

The only difference UKMF sees is that they didn't hang the white Hispanic guy for shooting a black kid. He thinks so since he was there to witness it and because the media said so.
March 31, 201214 yr Obama couldnt hold their jocks. I wish we had either one as President now. How does that answer my point? They got involved in "local" situations. You say he shouldn't speak to any local situation. Which is it? Or is it that only THIS president should not speak to "local" affairs?

April 1, 201214 yr Are people insinuating that the cops had an incentive to protect Zimmerman? Why? He is not one of their own. He is not a cop.
April 1, 201214 yr Both this crime and the Trayvon Martin crime certainly bear racial motivations. However, just to be clear, the student who was burned in Kansas City received first degree burns only. For those unfamiliar, a first degree burn is the least severe degree of burning. They involve only the epidermis (outer layer of skin), and generally take 10 days or less to heal. Trayvon Martin is dead - there's no healing "dead".

April 4, 201214 yr How does that answer my point? They got involved in "local" situations. You say he shouldn't speak to any local situation. Which is it? Or is it that only THIS president should not speak to "local" affairs? I have no problem with the President, any President, speaking on "local" affairs when the facts are in and the investigations are completed, and to be fair to President Obama, he has generally avoided commenting on the Martin case other than to say it is a tragedy (which it is regardless of whether the investigation determines Zimmerman was justified or he wasn't justified in shooting Martin) and to say if he had a son, the son would look like Martin (which really is irrelevant, but apparently was an attempt to placate African American leaders pressuring him to comment on the matter: Obama: 'If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon' - POLITICO.com). Unless he's commented a lot more than what was reported in the above article, I've got zero problem with President Obama's public comments to date.
