7am...The commercial guys do have to make a living and most working families are up by that time anyway.

 

Now if I knew my neighbor worked nights and slept in the day time, I would work with him...Really it's all about being a nice/good neighbor and isn't that what we all should be trying to be! It is indeed what makes the difference being a heighborhood that you want to live in and one where you can't wait to move out of!

On weekends we try not to mow before 10:00am. Normally don't mow in the morning during the work week. If it's going to rain and the grass has to be cut - it's fair game after 9:00am. We do try to take into consideration a policeman who works 3rd shift.

I just don't see any reason someone needs to cut grass at 7 AM but that's JMO. If it's a business it's a different story.

Yep. I would be seriously ticked if my neighbor was doing that. It's one of those things you can't ignore if it's just outside your window.

Weekdays 7:30

 

Saturdays 8:30 Can get way too hot by 10 or 11 in July and August

 

Sundays 11am, hot or not.

Question. Those of you that say 10 am or later, how close are your neighbors? I have a feeling where you live makes a huge difference.

plantmanky I honestly understand from a business angle where you are coming from but if I had a rather loud party with the stereo blasting that lasted at least until say 3am each and every Saturday night and you lived next door, how would you feel about that!

 

Again it all about being a good neighbor and if my neighbor had you working for him and you came to his yard each and every Saturday at 7am to cut his grass, me and him would be having a heart to heart talk and if he didn't see the problem it caused....Well I had people who worked all night for me and part of their job could be calling his home and letting it ring and ring each and every night at around 3:30am or so..

7:00, no different than the garbage man to me. I think the garbage truck is louder than my neighbor mowing next door. Of course, the mowing is a little more on going.

 

Why 7am dd? Why not first daylight and/or 8am?

On a Sunday not until after 11am but on a Saturday 9am and that goes for the commercial guys as well as the neighbors.

 

Nobody likes being awaken at seven or eight on a Saturday or Sunday and it just plain being a good neighbor to not have it done so early in the morning.

 

Why is Sunday any different than any other day of the week? And if Saturday is 9am, then surely Sunday should be 9am also, correct?

A business will not normally call their clients before 9:00am depending on their time zone. A lawn service in a neighborhood should follow the same rule.

I am not saying there is a right or wrong answer to this question but some members have cried foul because of commercial mowers. What I am pointing out is mowing commercially doesn't entitle you to any extra privilege over a private homeowner mowing his yard.
