A business will not normally call their clients before 9:00am depending on their time zone. A lawn service in a neighborhood should follow the same rule.

I do know that at our Duke Energy district we have an unwritten rule to not start working in residential areas before 8 am. If we have to disconnect the power we try to do it after 9 am unless it is an emergency or some prior arrangement.

Day of the week shouldn't matter. Some work weekends and are off on certain days of the week. What about roofers?

I am not saying there is a right or wrong answer to this question but some members have cried foul because of commercial mowers. What I am pointing out is mowing commercially doesn't entitle you to any extra privilege over a private homeowner mowing his yard.

I live in the city of Florence. In Florence your friend would not be permitted (code violation) to park all of his company trucks in a residential neighborhood and therefore that problem would never exist here. And yes I think Florence is spot on with that code.

Just curious but what are you calling a neighborhood? In my old neighborhood in Boone County no way would the Boone County planning and zoning allow that to happen! Now in saying that, if you moved into a place that was zoned commercial/business then that is your fault. I do realize that in a lot of counties in the Commonwealth there really isn't much planning and zoning but again that is your fault if the business moved there.

 

BTW Guru I did complain to Boone County Judge Moore about the trash company coming into our neighborhood years ago at 5am and it was stopped quickly as from what I can remember, the county contract said something to the effect not until after 7/8am.

 

As far as Sunday being different from Saturday the neighbors at least in my old neighborhood thought Saturday and Sunday were indeed different. We had a street agreement that everybody followed and that was no yard work until after 11am on Sunday! Again everybody worked together and we had no problems and I know you knew one of my neighbors rather well, until he moved....

I do not live in Florence but in my neighborhood, you cannot park a vehicle with a company name on the side of the vehicle your driveway. Also, 1 day for a trailer or boat then it must be moved from the property.

See I think this is where the question has multiple answers depending on where you live. In my case, I live out in the country, he is my closest neighbor and from house to house is probably at least a football field if not longer. Do I hear the trucks in the morning yes (weekedays Im already up for work so no big deal.) Hence, why I say I don't see sun up as an issue. People work different shifts different times, you can really know what your neighbors work life is persay.
