How many UK fans actually watch the games live?

Featured Replies

Funny story though... Someone had apparently pressed pause on my DVR the night before the UNC game. After thirty minutes on pause, my DVR starts playing automatically so I never knew it had been paused when I turned on the TV the next morning. I thought it was kind of weird when the game didn't start on time, but didn't think too much of it for some reason. I got to five minutes left in the game before I realized we had all been watching the game thirty minutes behind everyone else.

I missed most of the IU game and the 1st half of yesterday's game. Had more important things going on. :idunno:

I only missed one game live this year...and it was against Indiana in December. I was not pleased.

So it was your fault!!!

I have to admit I get nervous as can be during the games, but I always watch them live. There was a deacon at my church that couldn't handle watching them live though. He taped every game. If they won, he watched it, if they lost, he wouldn't. He used to say he hadn't see the Cats lose in years.

I didn't mean it as an attack, my apologies. It just seems weird to me that people can get that worked up over it. Maybe when I get older I will understand.

I grew up in a family that never went on family vacations. My parents went on the tourney trails following UK. So it became ingrained in my identity.

When I moved to ACC land 21 years ago, I guess the identity grew stronger and so it makes it even harder to bear when there is very little in the way of "support" around here. It was horrific to live in this area the last couple of years of Tubby and the BG era.

It's funny, I can perform my job and much anything else well under pressure. But UK is a different story.

sounds like you need to hang out with different people. I don't know a single UK fan that does this.

Agreed, only person I know that doesn't watch games live is my uncles and that is because he works 2nd shift.

At worst I watch on a slight delay. But I don't understand that logic of never watching the games. If you don't watch then how are you really a fan?

Now the room may have to be cleared of all breakable items and the grandchildren and personages susceptible to foul language sent home, but if it is all possible, I watch live.

Most of the time I watch on DVR, but that's mostly because I hate commercials. I'm usually caught up to real time by the latter part of the 2nd half.

That's me.

Can't even imagine what that's like. For various reasons, I've missed the first half of three of the four UofL tournament games so far this year and each time it nearly killed me. Needless to say, I'll be glued to every second of this one.

I'm with you. This concept is harder for to grasp than the immaculate conception...

I watch some of them after they are over. I watch every game live during the season and conference tourney. The NCAA tourney is the one I get "anxious" about.

I'm not sure what's worse. The idiotic claims that some UK fans make or the idiotic claims that some UL fans that hate UK fans make.
