Trayvon Martin

Your continued fixation with race is nothing short of disturbing and sad.

Your continued fixation with thinking Zimmerman is white is nothing short of disturbing and sad. Look at him, he isn't white, no where near. It's sad your a victim of the racist media and fall for thier lies. You must watch MSNBC.

Even if Zimmerman started the fight by rushing Martin or by punching him it doesn't mean he couldn't legally shoot him. What is hard to understand about that?

You last two posts have been blunt, to the point, and really at the crux of it all. People can characterize Zimmerman or Martin and the scene/back-story of their lives leading up until the altercation all they want. Most of that is irrelevant. It is not that difficult to grasp. A lot are trying to ignore it because it does not bode well for the prosecution in this instance.

It's infuriating to hear all the other garbage. Can the prosecution prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman wasn't in danger? That should be the only thing that matters. Sadly it might not be.

Usually the guy screaming for help seconds before getting shot is the one in danger, not the other guy. It's already been established that the voice is not Zimmerman's. If Martin is screaming for help, how could Zimmerman have been in danger?

Why would age factor in? I don't know the exact wording of the "Stand Your Ground" law but my guess is that if the witness says he saw Trayvon on top of Zimmerman and punching him (which physical evidence would have to support) then the SYG law comes into play.

Age is irrelevant.

It doesn't. I'm just making fun of Zimmerman for being a wimp that can't physically handle a 17 year old he outweighs without killing him.

That is not true. Martin's mother said it was Trayvon. His dad said it was not Trayvon. Zimmerman's dad said it was without a doubt his son.

Where is this evidence that "establishes" that Martin was on top of Zimmerman when he murdered him (let's actually call it what it is, it was murder)?

And voice recognition experts said it was absolutely not Zimmerman. I'll take their word over the guy who's going to lie his tail off to save his son.

Every situation is different, but no someone does not have to have a weapon in every case for a police officer to shoot them.

I would assume that if a person was on top of an officer beating that officer in the face that a weapon would not be required before the officer can shoot. Seems logical to me.

I would probably agree. Mainly because at that point that person is not attempting to flee. They are there to hurt or kill the police officer.

Thanks. I was wondering how this situation compares with cops involved.

Eye witness testimony is very unreliable. Does the witness say he was on top of him when the gun was fired? Didn't think so.
You are trying to build a case. And your argument is that the eye witness testimony is unreliable because the witness did not see them when the gun was fired just that he was beating him down? If that is what the prosecution is going on then they have no chance in hell and you are smart enough to know that.

Not at all. I'm trying to figure out why you guys are taking everything that comes out in defense of Zimmerman as 100% factual and not giving the evidence supporting murder any credence.

As PP and others have stated, the DA wouldn't have charged him with 2nd degree murder if they didn't have quite a bit of solid evidence (evidence that you and SSC haven't seen or heard). Do you really think in a high profile case like this they would risk a "not guilty" verdict by "overcharging" Zimmerman? Not a chance in hell and you are smart enough to know that.
