Big time sack - fumble recovery! Who Dey!

Cats with the lead at the half! Keep it ugly and get a beautiful win! #BBN

He is also a good kid, great leader, and extremely hard worker. Love that he is in contention. Scott Co has never had a Mr Football.

Last year this one was over pretty early. Probably a similar game Friday. Hopefully the defense can tighten things up and have some success. Also hope that Emongo can be in the game long enough to keep moving forward with Mr Football campaign stats.

Coach Bart is a wonderful man and brings an insane amount of experience to Scott Co. I'll be cheering him on all the way. Go Cards.

Jager Burton - Frederick Douglass - Green Bay Packers Bryan Hudson - Scott Co - NY Giants Michael Mayer - Cov Cath - LV Raiders Are there others?

Rankings mean very little this time of year. Just something for people like us to talk about. My Cards have to start playing better defense to truly deserve the top spot. The top 6 to 7 are all very good and capable.

2nd half as entertaining as the first half was ugly.

Heck of a game.

UL's strategy of roughing the kicker earlier in the game gonna pay off here at the end by being in the back of his mind?

UL defense had OM completely confused that play.

Surprised they didn't take the penalty and then go for 2 from the one yard line.

Keinholz's mom getting Pavia mom type screen time.

This game ain't got no alibi. It's ugly.

Some SC numbers per Kal Oaks of the Gtown News Graphic Timmy Emongo 16 rush, 204 yds, 3 TD; 4 rec, 121 yds, 2 TD (366 all-purpose including returns) Skyler Way 18 rush, 106 yds Charlie Ellison 6/11, 156 yds, 3 TD Red Owens TD catch, sack Elijah Faris 10 tackles

I ended up running late and didn't get to eat before so I just stopped at Buckees for gas and a BBQ sammich on the way home. I'd much rather have tried one of y'all's recommendations. The game was great! Timmy Emongo is special. Neither team played much defense. The punters could have stayed home in the air conditioning. BG had multiple groups with insanely impressive tailgates. Good win for Scott Co.

Anyone have a recommendation for a spot to get a bite to eat before the game in the Bowling Green area? Who has a favorite local spot?

Conner Willhite will be live streaming and broadcasting the game. He is a junior at SCHS and does a GREAT job. His channel is Conner Sports Talk on YouTube. It's free. https://www.youtube.com/live/gn6YLIbZveU?feature=shared

I think McKee's biggest challenge for this one is being able to keep his team from being overconfident. You know BG is going to be hungry. SC got sloppy in the second half vs Great Crossing and had mistakes and penalties that will cost them against a good team if they don't clean it up. However, when all the top guys were in the game, the Scott Co talent was very impressive in each of their first two games If you focus on Emongo, then Skyler Way and Red Owens and Ellison and JT Wells will all eat you up. Lots of weapons. And the defense looked better. Lucas Fint back from injury helped up front. I'll take the Cards on the road. 31-21.

Cards dominated the first half but then fell asleep after half time. Can't imagine coach McKee will be pleased with the sloppy play, mental mistakes, and penalties of the second half. it was great to have Fint back on the D Line. He is a load. Skyler Way (6 carries, 171 yards, TD) Emongo only played a little over the first quarter 5 Carries 83 Yards 2 touchdowns Really nice crowd. Both bands were there and marched together. They introduced all the pee wee teams. Both dance and cheer teams were there. There was a huge tailgate so people were there early. It was a great atmosphere. And then the Cards scored on the first play from scrimmage and it was never close after that.

It's a rivalry so anything can happen. Like Timmy might get 1000 all purpose yards if they've really ticked him off like I've heard they have. Go Cards!

The standard is the standard and it takes what it takes. Film don't lie.

Wasn’t sure where to put this topic but the Georgetown College Athletics Hall of Fame banquet was tonight. I thought some BGP folks might like to see who was inducted at GC this year.

Fint is recovering. I’ve heard he will be back in the next week or possibly two.

Scott Co dominated, scoring on every offensive possession tonight. Timmy Emongo had a statement game in his bid for Mr Football with 9 rushes for 242 yds (that’s just shy of 27 yards per carry!) 4 rushing TDs and one receiving touchdown (50+ yard reception) for a total of 5 on the night. Dude is impressive. Ellison was 6/7 with one passing TD and one running TD. Sharp and efficient. Lots of room to grow, but a really good win to open the season. Go Cards!
