2026 Mr. Football Watchlist (9/8)

Featured Replies

📰 Headlines 🗞️
• The week's biggest development went down in 'Title Town', with Seneca Driver being 86'd in Boyle County's win over LexCath. The ejection will cost him a primetime game against Highlands.

• There was no shelter from the storm as Scott County's lightning bolt ⚡ struck repeatedly. The Cardinals unleashed Timmy Emongo at the height of his powers and aimed him directly at a hapless Bowling Green defense as he amassed 325 yards from scrimmage (204 rushing/121 receiving) and five combined touchdowns.

• A highly anticipated quarterback duel unfolded in Owensboro with Dre'Mail Carothers outgunning Max Johnson. Carothers continued his torrid start to the season - specifics below - while Johnson acquitted himself well with 323 yards of total offense and two touchdown passes. Apollo doesn't lack for firepower, but O-Cath simply had a bigger arsenal.

• CAL turned another marquee matchup into a public execution. Ja'Hyde Brown ran circles around LCA's defense for 143 yards and three touchdowns on six receptions.

• Collins kept a firm grip on the county with a third consecutive rout of Shelby County. The Rockets have seen enough of Kade Goodin, who tore their defense to shreds with 331 yards and three touchdowns through the air, plus another 74 and two scores with his legs.

Honorable Mention
• Tyler Fryman left a trail of bodies in his wake as he housed the opening kickoff against Dixie Heights.

• Kasen Brock rumbled for 111 yards and four touchdowns against North Hardin.

• Garyon Hobbs scored three touchdowns against LCA to complement Brown.

Two To Watch 🔎
• Quarterback Carson Herbst has thrown his name in the race with a strong start to the season. He powered Madison Central to victory over Madison Southern with 215 rushing yards and five combined touchdowns.

• Madisonville's Ryder Sandidge ranks among the state's leading rushers and scorers. He gashed Henderson County for 343 yards and five touchdowns two weeks ago.

Emongo's numbers are off the charts. If he plays 15 games those are going to be some BIG numbers.

He is also a good kid, great leader, and extremely hard worker. Love that he is in contention. Scott Co has never had a Mr Football.

Collins is free to view this week if anyone wants to get a look at Goodin:
