John Hardin had 537 total offensive yards, with 374 coming on the ground.
Dingle threw for 163 yards on 5-of-9 passing and three TDs. Camper had 2 catches for 64 yards and two TDs to go along with 71 yards and a TD on eight carries.
Bardstown couldn't stop the running attack, as JH had five backs had 40 or more yards.
Jim, don't know where you heard LaRod wasn't playing, but none of those rumors are true.
But even with King at QB, I still say Nelson wins with its option attack.
Nelson 21-7.
Why are you trying to stir crap up when Offside has said he doesn't want this to turn into an argument?
I know several officials all over the state and they've all told me the same things Offside has said. Big deal.
To be fair, Scribe, most schools I know of don't have an asst AD.
And the lack of scores being called in is placed squarely on the coaches shoulders. It's not fair, but that's the way it is.
My paper runs roundups of soccer and volleyball each night, along with golf and cross country results (if we get XC results in time before our 11:45 deadline). The AD isn't the one responsible for calling in the score and stats, but if we don't hear from a coach by a certain time, you can bet we'll be calling the AD to get on his/her coach to call us.
The "I forgot" excuse doesn't fly with me anymore because the coaches in my area know to call in results each night.
LaRue is decent.
But only time will tell if the Wing T can hold up against other teams. Washington County loaded the box last night, and still couldn't stop the attack.
LaRue County rushed for 462 yards on 68 carries as a team to move to 2-0.
Ryan Wafford had 169 yards and 3 TD on 20 carries, Drew Newberry rushed for 142 yards and 2 TD on 21 carries.
For Washington County, Joe Joe Simms was 15-of-35 for 285 yards, 2 TD and 2 INT. He was picked off by LaRue County's Caleb Cobb, who could have had a third INT if he didn't let the ball slip off his finger tips.
Alex Simms caught six passes for 150 yards and 2 TD, Quan Turner had three for 75.
From the sounds of the radio guys, it's been slow going.
I'm not at the game, but we have a writer there.
And as I'm typing this, North scores again. North is up 33-15 with 6:55 left in the third quarter. PAT blocked.
