Ashland did not play well at Shelby Valley so I am not excusing their performance there at all but Shelby Valley beat Henry Clay last night 76-37 so I am guessing Shelby Valley is for real. I am also guessing Ashland could be a bit better than that Shelby Valley score may indicate.

I seriously doubt Boyd County has cornered the market on playing hard.

I watched these young men play this summer and I was impressed with their athleticism and their ability to shoot. Does anyone know if they are still sporting their mohawk haircuts?

Does Menifee's win over Rowan County surprise you? If you know anything about Menifee County, Flemingsburg and Rowan for that matter you will understand that all three teams have some talent. On any given night if the rims are friendly any of these teams can beat the other. It should not surprise anybody.

Is this game at Rose Hill or Fairview?

Is a disqualification different then say what happened with Ryan Bonner is Ashland's playoff game? Or is it the same requiring a one game suspension?

Did Michael Terry get thrown out of this game? If he did does that mean he has to sit for a game?

Congrats to Cameron Hall! We here in the 16th region are sure going to miss watching this young man play. He is most definitely a player!

Ryan Whetsel and Tyler Hornbuckle both made solid contributions. Ryan W. played 20.38 minutes and had 8 points and I think around 6 rebounds. Ty Hornbuckle got quite a few first half minutes when Chris Johnson got in foul trouble and had 6 points and around 3 rebounds.

I won't argue with the fact that Will Scaggs played a great game last night. He had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Cody Bowling played out of position all night having to play the 4 and pitched in with 14 points and 6-7 rebounds. Delaney had 19 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists. Chris Johnson also had 11 points and 8 rebounds. Congrats to all four young men!

Is Lewis County HIgh School located right off the double A? I notice a school off to the right as I go to Cincy from Ashland. Is that the High School?

I assume if the football team gets beat on Friday night that a few of the football players who are playing basketball will find their way to Lexington for the scrimmage. I am sure Coach Biggs will encourage them to come on out. A day off is way over rated....:ylsuper:

Ashland has 5-6 players who can play(Scaggs,Delaney,Bowling,Bonner,Johnson,Swift). I anticipate their issue will be the development of the ninth graders and first year players ( Withrow, Whetsel, Hunter,Hornbuckle) in order for them to be able to provide some quality depth.
