Final from Mt. Sterling. GRC jumps out to a 4 -0 lead after 2innings, gets an insurance run in top of 7th and holds on to win 5-4. Montgomery scores one in the 4th and 3 in the bottom of the 7th, but come up one run short. Withrow goes 5 gets the win for GRC Bell throws the 6 and 7th. Potter takes the loss for MC going 6 and Combs throws the 7th. Congarts Cards on the win.

Trey Combs started and went 3. Ben Gully pitch 2 2/3 and Zach Curtis came in and got the last out in the bottom of the 6th.

Smallwood started and went 4 inning, I think,. Colts brought in another lefty (not sure of his name) and Mefford finished.

Final from the Rockcastle Tournament. MC battles back from a 7-2 deficient to tie it at 7 all. WJ jumps back out to a 11-7 lead and MC battles back again, but this time leaves the tying run 90 feet from home in the top of the 7th. Not the prettiest played baseball game, but it sure was exciting!!! I know WJ would say the same if they had lost, but MC beats themselves tonight by not making some routine plays. MC freshman Sam Lee and Jordan Nester come up big at the plate tonight for the Indians. MC catcher, Chris Duzyk, throws out 4 Colts trying to steal. Way to battle back MC, you guys showed a lot of guts tonight against a very Strong WJ team and have nothing to hang your heads about. By the way, you'll see West at Applebee's Park this June. Man do they have a lot of talent. Congrats to WJ on the win. Montgomery is now 1-2 against top 20 teams, with their 1 win over Danville (3-1) and their 2 losses to Bryan Station (3-1) and West Jessamine (11-10). A couple of plays here or there and MC 3-0.

These are the only two polls I know of online for Ky High School Baseball. I couldn't agree more, MaXpreps Polls are a joke, when you leave a top 5 team in the state out of the top 25, one would have to question their rankings. I'll tell you Friday night if their right about West Jessamine being ranked #1.

Final from Green Co. tournament. MC beats #16 Danville 3-1. The Indians take on Marion Co. tomorrow at 11:00am. Taylor Potter goes the distance for the Indians giving up 4 hits 1 unearned run and 12 K's. Sam Lee 3-3 with a double and RBI. Chris Duzyk was 2-2. Big win for the Indians!!!!

Your correct it is a hand me down from Lexington Legends, but it was only one year old when MC got it. MLB changed the spects on their tarps and LL had to get a new one.

Hard to say this early in the season. One of MC's starter did not play in this game due to illiness and another will DH only for the next couple of weeks.
