Cards make a statement.

The George Rogers Clark baseball team is back in the running for the top seed in the district. The Cardinals made a successful return to Cardinal Field with a 24-2 win over 40th District foe Bourbon County in five innings Monday, avenging a 4-3 setback to the Colonels on March 30 at Paris. Bourbon Co now 7-2, this their first instate loss. The Cardinals produced 20 hits, including a grand slam by T.K. Korb and never looked back.

 

Since the loss to the Colonels, Clark (11-1) has won seven in a row. including four straight in the Ripken Experience last week at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
