eccheer

Congrats Elliott . . . we'll be there cheering you on tomorrow too!! Thought I would let everyone know that the Courier Journal was in Sandy Hook today and will be in Montgomery County tomorrow. They interviewed several people this afternoon and arranged to interview the boys after the game tonight. Watch for a write-up! :ylsuper:

EC by 3!! Live by the three . . . die by the three!!

Congrats Elliott!! This positive press will draw more attention to you and the others following behind you, possibly opening doors and sparking interest for others in the county. What an AWESOME legacy you all would have for generations to come. :ylsuper:

EC by 48. The Lions will HOT, HOT, HOT!!!

THANKS!!!!! Can't take any chances!! Now back to our regularily scheduled conversations . . .

. . . to get over the hump!!! :ylsuper:

Just trying . . .

I'd better just go ahead and get 3 posted pretty quickly then!!! Sure don't want any bad luck coming our way!! :scared:

I really liked the non-walk in the first half when a WC player slid 1/2 way down the court with the ref standing right beside him!! :thumb:

Then Anderson in Montgomery County on Saturday (5:45pm) for anyone that's interested!! SORRY addout . . . didn't mean to post over ya!!

CONGRATS ELLIOTT!! You've got another win under your belt! This was one heck of a game but you showed your talent and dedication to pull out the win. :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa

I'll stick with my last prediction . . . Elliott by 48!

Congrats West . . . we'll see ya on Tuesday!

I asked about that at the ballgame last night. The word I got was that no one was contacted while we were in Myrtle Beach so figured that contact would be made this week once school gets back in session.

CONGRATS again Elliott!! My point spread prediction was pretty close!!!! It was only 46 instead of my predicted 48. :thumb:

CONGRATS ELLIOTT, ETHAN and EVAN WE'RE PROUD OF YOU!! We've watched you all play for 5+ years and know how much you all deserve this recognition today and for many years to come. :thumb:

This whole thread is HILARIOUS!!!! If it was April instead of Jan I'd think it was a prank!! :thumb:

Elliott by 48!

I started the thread and I don't believe I stated anything about a "championship". Yes I did mention a trophy and added a "WAY TO GO" too. I guess I should have said the "consulation" trophy but I was always taught that all accomplishments should be celebrated . . . if it's 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. I'm proud of our kids and will ALWAYS stand up for them. I'm proud of them and sure wanted them to know it. I AM one of the Elliott County Faithful (and I didn't graduate from EC) and I will remain that way whatever happens.

If you go to the beach ball classic website, schedule . . . there should be a link to the archived videos. Hopefully it will be there because I couldn't watch it online today for some reason so just listened to it on the radio.

Idealistically, the eventual outcome of incarceration is rehabilitation. I know that this is not always realistic, but the social worker in me must applaud this coach and all the kids on both teams as this could be the one place and thing that allows these young men to turn their lives around. Ramey Estep (in Boyd County) is not a "maximum" security placement, but if you've ever been there those kids lead a very strick schedule. I've worked with several (both placing them into the facility and after they've been released) kids from there and would love to see something like this started as they begin to work threw their levels.

Well stated Lion Mania!!! :ylsuper:

6. Showed they can win games against teams with a height advantage over them.

I don't think you'll have to strain very hard to hear us . . . I think we do pretty well making sure our voices are heard!!
