Congratulations GRC Cardinals!
Congrats Clark Co. Represent the 10th well at Rupp. The refs for the game were Bart Lenox, Bo Queen, and Kirk Hudson. All 3 quality officials who have years of experience. Bart would have less experience of the three but still does a good job in all the games I've seen him call.

Classic 10th Region Championship game. Congrats to Mason Co. on a great season. They will absolutely be on a mission next year. Congratulations to the 2007 10th Region Champions Clark Co. Good Luck at Rupp Arena. Make the 10th Region proud.

Has Elliot Co. ever won the region?

Scott County 74 Lexington Catholic 48
Not suprised that Scott won but suprised at how bad it was. I really thought Lex Cath. would play them closer than that.

Think we posted thread at same time. I'll go with yours. Once again congrats to Shelby Valley on collecting their 5th region crown in 7 years. I would say SV you could classify them as a Dynasty!:thumb:

Not trying to pull anything. I just was curious to how it works.

Congratlations to Shelby Valley on the 15th region title.

Mason 63 Bishop Brossart 57
I was just curious as to how it worked. I didn't know if both schools had to get their students from the same middle schools or if Campbell county was divided into districts that were designated NCC and Brossart.

Now are these 5 feeder schools for Brossart only or for NCC as well?

What are the 5 feeder schools?

I remember Cooper catching my eye as a Sophmore in the District against Pendleton Co. he was tough then and got better and better each year. He's just a bulldog in the paint. Worked hard every minute he played.

The 3 that come off the bench are quality players. I think any of the 3 could start for a majority of the teams in the region. Wouldn't you agree? Look at those three and take Augusta for example. The first three from Augusta are not that caliber. Nor are replacements for SIlver Grove, Deming, St. Pat, and even Bracken Co.

Pearl was there for the whole game.

I know their not big. But for a school their size don't you think they go deep into their bench? By the way what is the enrollment? Is it around 400?

I was just committing on the Brossart/Mason game. But, I agree with you Scott and Clark do the samething. If teams can get away with it I say more power to them. Look at what all four of them have in common. They all have deep benches. If players get in foul trouble they can be replaced by someone else. I think its smart basketball if you can do it. Again what with the Deming comment? I don't know where your going with that. But, I will say the smaller schools like Deming, Augusta, St. Pat, and Silver Grove don't have the depth to play the defence like the ones mentioned above. I by no means meant to ruffle any feathers with my previous post. But, I guess I did. So I guess its water under the bridge.

No such school as Mt. Olivet Deming. Just Deming. By the way I'm not from Mt. Olivet or Deming.

What's ignorant about that statement? They do foul on defense. Mason fouls the same way. If the refs called every foul the games would last for ever. Don't see anything wrong with that statement. Just to make it clear Mr. Shooter I am not from Maysville and I do have a rather large knowledge of Basketball. SO you can call me whatever you want. I'm not going to get into a name calling contest. So if you think I'm ignorant more power to you. Have a Good Day!:thumb:

Clark County 53 Scott 52
I know this is off the subject. But, the lady from Scott sitting on the Clark County side was ridiculous. I don't care how old you are that simply is not called for. This is what I would call Bush League. Then when the Clark students stood in front of her she would push them out of the way. That's how fights get started. I commend the Clark County fans for how they kept their composure and laughed this classless act off. Your better than I would have been. Seems most N. KY schools have trouble knowing where they should be sitting. Every game I go to that involves a school from Boone, Kenton, or Campbell the fans will sit on the wrong side. Even when the sides are marked.

Was the "Great" Bob Kouns one of the officials? Because according to some he could do no wrong.

Could this be Coach Mays and the Lions year? Would be great to see a true Class "A" school in the Big Dance!

10th Region Final: Mason vs. GRC
Great match up two traditional 10th Region Powers. One with recent success and another who hasn't been to the Sweet 16 since 1990. Should be a good one. I am going to go out on a limb and predict Clark Co. by 3. Glad to see the teams from up north going home for the season!

Mason 63 Bishop Brossart 57
Alexandria Bishop Brossart got beat at their own game. Mason Co. committed many fouls that were not called. Brossart committed fouls that were not called as well. Alexandria Bishop Brossart's defense is simply that, foul as much as possible. If every foul they committed was called well all their games would last 4 plus hours. I think the officials were bad both ways. I knew if if Alexandria Bishop Brossart got beat the officiating would be their excuse. As I was walking in I heard two Mustang fans telling Coach Code, "The only way Mason can beat us is if the officials give it to them." So I guess that's what the excuse Mustang faithful are going to stick with!

10th Region attendance for Wednesday's and Thursdays opening game
Deming did not miss out on their experience. They played their game and had good fan support. Even got some bumps and bruises from the tough "defense" of the Mustangs. You have to realize how small not only the school but the county is. Granted if they would have played the 8:30 game they would have had a few more fans their but not many more. Plus their band was there, were was Brossarts? That's just the chance you take with the luck of the draw. Deming had their experience not only this year but 3 of the last 4. By the way its Deming not Mt. Olivet Deming as you refer to it on your website.

10th Region attendance for Wednesday's and Thursdays opening game
I agree with you mhighfield. There was a very nice crowd at the second game. The sad thing is the gym was no where near full but if it had been at any other gym in the region it would have been a problem seating wise.
