The area around here knows all about the theatricals concerning this team over the last couple of years. You should learn to keep things in house. What a facade that everything is always peachy and creamy in Devil Land. Give me a break. Your misanthropic ways about every other team other than your own is frolicsome.

Only you know if coach Dodd is accomplishing that. Deep and reflective sure doesnt describe your jump shot, well maybe the reflective part does

Well if that is all your goal is then you miss what sports and coaching is all about. Winning is not nearly as important as mining out the gold of excellence. A coach can have great talent and win and not be a good coach...many examples I could give of that. Life is not about winning at all cost and neither is sports! Life and sports is about giving your best, giving excellence in all things. Most coaches today do not know how to get the best out of what they have. If you truly think it is all about winning so you can brag on BGP's or in the public then you already have your reward. If a player gives their excellence in any sport, they are a winner regardless of what the final outcome may say.

I just posted that to see if you were up or not. IMO, not joking either, Russell is very talented but very over coached. Dodd may very well be a great coach in certain aspects but that Team is good and does not put up the points the way they should...sometimes there is more to coaching than winning. I will let you ponder on that one. Out of all the games I have watched this year, there is one team that is letting the horses run and that is Rose Hill. Just out of curiosity, how many fans are in attendance on average at a home game? Just curious. I look at the talent on Russell's team and think to myself (Which is not a good conversation) what if they had a coach that would let them play and let Hoose shoot the ball more. There is no personal freedom in that system. If I were playing today I would want to play for a coach that would run and gun, once again nothing personal against coach Dodd. As you know the both of us (you and I ) have been around this game for a long time and a great coach adapts and changes to the talent that he or she is presented with each year. This simply doesnt happen in this region except for a few teams and coaches. There is no personal development with kids anymore. I look at someone like Gill (dont know him either, he may be a head case for all I know) and think this kid should be averaging 20 and 10 easily. Just using him as an example. Most of my post are not meant to be personal, just joking with you...and it could be worse, I could call you Paul!

Russell is over rated, and plays robotic basketball, they will be hard pressed to pull out a win at Ashland and on Senior night. BBP Ashland 67 Russell 59 Officials 7 1/2 in Russell's favor believe it or not!

By far the Coach that has got the most from his team and youth is Rex Cooksey. They may not have had an impressive record but they have had several games that could have went either way. Cooksey & Jeff Hall and the rest of the coaching staff has done an excellent job with Fairview. Next, would be Coach Fraley at Rose Hill. Great defense, great Kids. I would never have thought by his up tempo game that He played High School ball at...well never mind, we wont hold that against Coach Fraley.

That was beyond lean years. That was life support years. No hatred here. I love you guys. I dont have my fact book in front of me...ha ha

Are you kidding??????? Lean years are coming to Russell. I would be shocked if they end up patterning themselves after a small school, as in the fact that when RH had lean years they still played everyone.

Unfortunately for Todd May, he was at UK at the same time as Joe B. Hall. I once heard Bobby Knight say that if he would have known that Larry Bird was going to turn out to be that good then he (Coach Knight) would have taken more of an interest in him and looked after him more the first couple of weeks of school.

It is one of those down years for BC, in the fact that they do not have a legitimate super star on the team. Most BC teams have had at least one even two great players on the team every year, dating all the way back to the Pratt / Wooten Era. This team has a bunch of indians but no chief. Some players on BC team have been hyped about for years but have never developed into their super stardom that has been unrightfully bestowed upon them.
