  1. Oh that was a dagger, oh my back, oh my back. I'm not going to say what has been said about the both of us by Fonzi, other than the fact we could both loose some LBS. ha ha
  2. I entered a strenous work out today doing rebound drills at the gym, if I keep losing weight, I am going to change my avatar to "Slim Shady"
  3. Well here we go again...the worm just jumped onto the hook, nice bait. You are right GoRadio it was consistently bad for both teams. I wish the next game that you air a RH game that you would stay about an hour after the game that way everyone is gone then do an interview with the refs and get their side of the story. I'm just stating observations from both sides of the court. A foul is a foul no matter what team is called for it. The refs can let them play without letting get out of hand, there is a difference between physical play and dirty play. I am not accusing either team of the latter but when it is really physical then tempers will flair and it becomes dirty, players giving cheap shots. Thats all. And by the way, I watched the fans from East last night at the end of the game they were just as shocked and confused as the fans from RH were. I have seen many games where time has expired and the ref still goes to the time table makes the call and the player shoots the free throws. Even though that would have not affected the outcome of the game last night because RH was winning but if the situation was reversed then I am sure there would have been complaints from East. It was a hard sloppy played game. RH had a chance to bury them and didnt do it. I dont credit East has much as I fault RH on the outcome, RH had a chance to put the game out of reach in the 2nd quarter and didnt do it. Hagar is a good coach and I do applaud their effort but the game should have never been that close. Not blaming the refs for the close game but I am saying they need to clean up the play. I have watched many boys games this year. Girls college games and none were as physical as the 16th Region. So having said that maybe the refs are giving our girls a better chance of making it on the next level. Refs are underpaid as well. Two jobs that no one should want: 1. Head Coaching position University of Kentucky 2. Referee
  4. Yeah it is probably time to start another thread.
  5. GoRadio, I must say one last thing before I leave my humble abode and search for this eatery. Your comment last night about calling up Mel Gibson was so funny that I was giggling in my sleep. Very witty and I love your stlye. Have a great day!
  6. 1967 now that was a good year.
  7. And I thought the refs were bad, I just now recieved two different sets of directions. Are you the home team?
  8. GoRadio, we both are running on limited hours, seeing how we were up til 3AM disagreeing to agree to disagree and then to do it all over again. I just think that the Refs ought to come out an establish how they are going to call the game from the start, and clean it up early before someone gets injured. If that means cleaning it up and calling fouls on RH then do it, just call it on the other team as well. Disagree or agree? over the years the officiating has been letting girls play much more physical? 15 years ago if you reached IN it was a foul whether you fouled a player or not, but now girls are handchecking, shoving, pushing, biting, elbowing, spitting, saddling, pinching, fixing their hair (just had to throw that one in there) and the game is getting out of control. Last night, the officials could have set the pace early in the game (maybe 2 or 3 rd trip down the court) when Queen is driving the ball up the sideline and she is hammered right in the kisser and nothing was called. Call the foul, if it is RH that hammers someone then call the foul but the game is more physical than most boy games
  9. Quit keeping me in suspense, name and directions please
  10. I heard there was a great Italian eatery in Grayson?
  11. Are you disagreeing about the inconsistency of calls? Not just RH but about calls in general?
  12. Then quit reading it. Because until it changes, I will keep writing it. It is true that the refs are going to miss some calls, both ways. But some things are just obvious, Emily Queen is a physical player but she gets hacked all the time and refs just wont call it. It reminds me alot of how Shaq gets hammered and the refs wont call it, I listened to several NBA officials interviewed about Shaq and they claim he is the hardest player to officiate game with. Why? Because he is physical. Just because an offensive player initiates the contact doesnt mean you dont call a foul when the defense hacks her, and if the defense draws the charge then call that too. I could present some hard core facts about this theory, not rumors, nor hear say but facts, but I am almost positive it would not be allowed to be posted and thats okay, this doesnt apply to all refs. Not all refs have an agenda some actually call a good game. Unbiased Consistency is what it is about. GoRadio will even agree that most of the time it is not consistent. As for the Anti-RH, I'm sure that he will not agree with that. If you are so hung up on GoRadio's game account then maybe I should be more childish and back out of lunch and you can grow up and join him
  13. I am going to say this one last time, it was a poor called game. No consistency. A good example of tonights game was that they let the play become physical then all of sudden began calling ticky tack fouls and not against RH, it was against Deerfield of East, she had four fouls in less then two minutes, the only explanation is that unless Hagar told the officials and Deerfield both to foul to put RH in the bonus...if this is not the case I will stick to my theory about poor officiating. Deerfield had touch fouls compared to what was going on out there. Maybe Deefield told ref she was going to foul or something???
  14. I think the 16th Region has some of the better coaches in the State: Not in any particular order: 1. West Carter : Hop started a dynasty and it has been carried on 2. Rose Hill: Coaching Staff is hard to beat, very versatile 3. East Carter: Hagar is a terrific coach 4. Raceland: Bobby Trimble will build a winning program if given the time 5. Ashland : Bradley and the back door cut/ Old School at its best 7.Boyd County: Fraley knows the game but team is a little down this year 8. Fairview: Believe it or not, I think the coach will do well over time (Not even Pitino could turn a program around in one year). 9. Russell is loaded with unreal talent year in and year out. What do they feed those kids down there? I know I have left out a few but that was not done with the intention of being disrespectful, just dont know much about them personally. By the way, GoRadio, please do not ever disgrace yourself by saying you are not as good as other local sports announcers. In all honesty I have listened to you and I think you do a great job. You may not be up there with Caywood but you a certainly better than the ones that you previously mentioned. What I said earlier was not intended to you but the overall situtation of officials, we dont see eye to eye, so what? Keep calling it as you see it.
  15. Want to do lunch tomorrow?
  16. Go Radio, it is time we quit bickering between ourselves, you have personally attacked me but I forgive you for that. Sorry that I offended you. I hope you accept my apology and we can go on. You see things one way and I simply see it another. You think it is because I support RH but it isnt. I have watched boys games and girls games other than RH and I feel the same way. And NO, I do not want to ref and cannot ref seeing how I can barely get around as it is. Thanks for the condescending judgmental attacks you have launched upon my character tonight. Peace!
  17. Just for the record Mr. Class Radio, I would have felt the same way about the refs if it were two different teams playing. It's time to clean it up. Before some kid out there on the court gets hurt. Have a nice night.
  18. BTW, was that Harry Carrey on the P.A. tonight, now that is real class!
  19. When RH plays out of this region and they are allowed to play it does favor RH but you must admit the Refs did not handle the game very well at the end. In all reality, no refs ever cost you the game. Win or lose, it is up to RH to perform. Class is having refs that calls consistent the entire game. And yes, Brit is watched and singled out more than others, and you might say that she brings that upon herself maybe so, but the refs should not be like that. I am sure that there were others making comments out there but the refs target her and dont say they dont. If they would have lost I still would have griped about the game, not because they would have lost but because officiating in this area is horrible.
  20. This was a great game between "Stevie" and "Ray", let me explain. The officials for tonight's game was Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. This may go down in my history book as the worst officiated game I have ever witnessed. It was great to see local support for Rose Hill. The local support was the Boyd County Coaching staff (all 14 of them), the Ashland Coaching Staff (3 of them, by the way Dale White looks as handsome as ever), the Coaching Guru of the 16th Region (Russell Coach) and of course East's rival, the coaching staff of West Carter. They (the local support) would have to agree that the conspiracy continues to linger against Rose Hill. For those who were not in attendance, this is how the game went in my eyes...1st Quarter Rose Hill played great, they lead after one, 20-7. 2-3 quarters Rose Hill played really hard but also played sloppy. Here is when the conspiracy begins, during the 4th quarter. Emily Queen has the ball and is bear huggged and slung into a whirlly bird and the ref calls a double foul. The enitre 4th quarter Brit Faulkner is mugged and needs to file a police report for the beating she was taken, and by the way she gets "T" called on her for talking to her teammates...the conspiracy thickens...near the very end of the game Rose Hill is up by 5 points with seconds to go and a player from East grabs Laura Terry's jersey and slings her around, nothing is called with the ref standing 1 foot from her then the girl from East slaps her arm and instead of calling a foul the refs "Stevie and Ray" run off the gym floor before the horn goes off and they leave both teams and the fans in utter silence wondering what the call is...by the way the refs never returned to the court to say the game was over or if there were a foul to be assessed. I have been watching basketballl games for over 30 years and I have never seen the officials run off the court before the horn sounds. IMO, as humble as it may be, the A.D. from Rose Hill should report this matter to the association, so we do not have to have these two clowns, "Stevie and Ray" or "Dean and Jerry" take your pick, for the District tourney or the Regional tourney. Anyone who thinks that the Rose Hill girls (the Big Three) are not targeted needs to wake up from Neverland and sit back and watch this mess. Officiating is at an all time low. Just call the game and quit anticipating calls and quit targeting these young ladys. I will go on to say this, a couple of games back, Laura grabbed a girls jersey and was "T"eed up for (an Intentional Foul) but when it happens to one of our girls, NOT EVEN A FOUL WAS CALLED. Very pathetic.
  21. Keys for RH against East Carter and the rest of the Season 1. High Intensity 2. Pressure Defense 3. Ball Movement 4. Senior Leadership (whats on your shorts...Phil 4:13) 5. Movement without the Ball (Pass and Cut) 6. Rebounding (Queen must have help on rebounding) 7. Good shot selection 8. Desire...when these 4 Seniors want to win...they usually do 9. Encouragement from the coaches, the players to each other and the fans 10. IMO, the rest of the region is playing pretty sloppy, it is now time for RH to step up, focus and kick some butt and go back to the State Tourney
  22. You probably had a bird's eye view of that game!
