wow....any body have stats on this one??? was Elliott ever close?? final score doesn't seem to bad..

Rose Hill in complete control of this game and never any real doubt as to the outcome. This game really resembled more of a scoring fest where both sides were content to let the other team score. Congratulations to Emily Queen who became the 16th regions all-time scoring leader. I don't have the official stats but Queen seemed to have at least 30 points and 20 rebounds. Elliot did have quite a few uncontested 3 point baskets which kept this game from really getting out of hand.

Rose Hill was up at the half, 45-29 and 64-43 at the end of the 3rd. Elliott County cut the lead to 11. Britt hit 2 free throws to put RH up by 19 again before Emily went out with cramps.

 

Laura Terry fouled out with over 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Emily began to cramp mid-way through the 3rd quarter, but stayed in the game. She went to the floor with leg cramps after hitting a lay-up with just over 2:20 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter, left the game and did not return.

 

Congratulations to the Lady Royals and the coaching staff. Tonight was as good an effort as you've shown since the LexCath game...and was probably the best you've played as a team. Britt Faulkner had a superb floor game...and played with maturity and control. Well done, Britt.

I'd like to echo some previously stated compliments.

This was as good as I've seen RH play this year. Great leadership by all seniors. Good cooperation on the floor. Excellent movement without the ball. Great passes. In a phrase, TEAM PLAY.

 

Good sign coming into tourney time.

The thing I liked best was the team play. Numerous times Britt drew double teams on the fast break only to hit an open teammate with the pass. Laura made a great pass to a teammate when she had an open layup herself. Lyndsay played great too. Just completely inpressed with all of the girls today. They seemed to play with an extra spring in their step. It was sure a pleasure to watch.

Emily was dominate, as the stats show. It was awful to watch her get leg cramps on her night to be crowned King of the 16th region.

 

THere was also a young lady from Elliot Co. that accomplished a scoring feat, 1000 pts. I believe. Not sure what her name was but she played very well also. Congrats.

I agree...and I've never seen two coaches enjoy themselves more or more sincere in their congratulations of an opposing player. Congratulations and thanks to both of them.

I agree, the lady lions played hard the whole game. Their pressure defense was tough!

 

Also, let me add this about their coachs. They came over to check on Emily after the game to see if she was ok. A classy thing to do I must say. It was something I really appreciated seeing. Made me a fan of theirs too.
