  1. How hard does Estes throw?
  2. I think this one could be a great game. Logan Dailey will start for the breds but who will pitch for the camels?
  3. Campbell is only a junior.
  4. I dont believe so because J. Martin or Dailey would have pitched last year and done a fine job. But the past is over and we should focus on this year. Good luck to all teams in the tournament. It should be a good one.
  5. With Harrison drawing Bracken first game they can save Martin and Dailey to pitch and have great relief pitching in Dye and Case. I believe Chasteen starts on Monday to get the win.
  6. Of course either Bourbon or Scott is the favorite but Mynear is a great pitcher and I believe could it least keep this game close.
  7. Assuming that Campbell for Nicholas County pitches against Mason and Nicholas County wins and then Mynear pitches against the Scott,Bourbon winner, Nicholas County has a chance to play in the championship game.
  8. With the new little league rules they shouldn't be having this problem. Most of these traveling teams take place after all stars when its the only baseball they are playing.
  9. From my previous post above I was referring to the present.
  10. They are on a pitch county but I am unsure of the rules or how many pitches they are aloud to pitch.
  11. Traveling teams have been a huge success in developing some great athletes. Mike Martin and Gary Kendall started a traveling team when their sons were 10 years old called The Kentucky Terror. Those kids today are now 8th graders. Sons of both the coaches participate on the varsity level while several others from that team participate on the JV. Rick Chasteen, Bubby Dye, and Tony Ritchie also started a traveling team when this years juniors and sophomores were 11 and 12 years old called The Kentucky Thorobreds. This team went to Cooperstown to play ball and all over Kentucky. Jared Martin, Matthew Dye, Christian Chasteen, Josh Moss, Malcolm Thomas, Drew Thompson, Shane Fowler, Eric Sanders, Logan Dailey, and Mason Fowler all participated on this team and out of the 10 listed above 7 are everyday starters and 3 are in the pitching rotation for this years Harrison County High School baseball team. This may have some influence on why Harrison County baseball is successful year in and year out. Parents and dedication have helped to continue the strong passion for baseball in Harrison County, along with one of the greatest coaches in Kentucky, Mac Whitaker.
  12. He is a stud at shortstop!
  13. Harrison was putting on a hitting performance.
  14. Harrison beats Bullitt East and drops out of the poll. They might as well do away with this poll.
  15. Bourbon County has had a great year on the diamond. Although, the lack of competition they have played this year could hurt them come tournament time. They have not faced good quality pitching, hitting, or defense. I really do not know who Bourbon has, pitching wise, that can be in command on the mound to win three games in a row to win the region.By looking at their record and the teams they have played I just do not see where they have faced a team that has a dominant pitcher on the mound. But you have to come and play everyday or anyone can get beat on any day.
  16. Harrison hit more deep fly balls in this game then they have in a while. Both teams had alot of pop in the bat but I would have to say Harrison hit the ball alot harder with more solid contact than Campbell but props to Campbell for being by far the best hitting team the breds have played this year in the 10th region. Defense was the key for Harrison.
  17. My correction above. Thompson relieved Fowler in the first inning.
  18. Fowler started and was relieved by Thompson in the second inning. Jared Martin then came in during the sixth to relieve Thompson.
  19. How is Shane Crain doing this year? I have not heard much about him this year but I always thought he was a great ball player.
  20. Tough day for the breds as they had to play back to back to back games against three of the top teams in the state.
  21. Martin gets the win for Harrison while Alphin takes the loss.
  22. Martin was out due to illness but I'm unsure about Moss.
  23. Harrison just got its ace pitcher back this week. To not have them in the top 25 best teams in kentucky is ridiculous. They have lost some games that are uncalled for but they havn't been beat with any of their top 4 pitchers on the mound.
