The 8th grader Mason Monroe played very well last night. He ran the team and made good decisions as the point guard should. He had many assist and defended well also. He also scored in double figures for the second night in a row. Many was on penetration and getting to the goal. He handles the ball very well with either hand and can create his shot or penetrate and hit his open teammates. It is hard to remember this kid is a middle schooler when watching him play and the decisions he makes with the ball and playing up against the older kids. The future definately looks bright for the Wildcats.

Nice win for the Lions tonight in a tough place to play. PC had no answer for the big boys tonight.

Tyson is a good kid! I know he plays football as well.

You may not want to forget Jones and Farrell who hit big threes in this game also polarwildcat. They played as a team also. :idunno:

I would put Monroe right up there at the top with Hatton & McClendon. All three are special players. I would also put up there Hicks from Shelby Co. Monroe is the starting point guard for Pendleton and very impressive. He is not flashy but has a high IQ for the game and just gets it done quietly.

Pendleton Co defeated Deming last night at the Devil Dome. Pendleton played very well last night and had 5 players in double figure scoring. Very balanced attack by the Cats. It was their 1st game in over a couple of weeks.

You could have a four class or five class system bring the final four from each class to Rupp Arena let them all play to earn their class championship and add a day ($$) and let the class champions compete for the true state championship as you call it and that is so sacred to most on here.

The kids that burn out are not the kids that truly love the game. The kids that love the game would have a ball in their hands most of the time with or without AAU plain and simple.

Nice job / better days are ahead for this young man! I love to watch him play!!

Polarbear your school has a chance at the All A so why shouldn't other schools that are just above the A level not have a chance to be champions also. I think if you had different class champions you would see less kids transferring across the state. Plus ask the Brossart Kids if their Class A championship is not a true state championship. Also Brossart uses this to their advantage of "come play for a championship."

Should there be a Private school State championship Or Public State champioship also? It seems unfair to the schools that are in the middle not small enrollment or large enrollment to compete for a state championship. Is it time to go to a class system? It can work and be more money for the KHSAA with proper planning! I know the Sweet 16 is sacred in kentucky and the cash cow of the KHSAA but it works for other states. I have watched the Ohio class state championships and it is as exciting and profitable as well.

This one was at Bracken. Not a road win for the Bears.

Cooper and Hamilton put on a 3 point clinic. I don't know what their percentages were but it looked like they were firing in the 3's as easy as shooting lay ups. In the JV game I don't know who the player was for Bracken but he put up a 3/4 length shot before the buzzer went off that banked off the backboard and went half way in and came out.

I think the coach has been playing 9-10 players a game so I have not seen any favortism. Are some playing more than others yes. Neither you or I are at the practices so we don't see everything the coach see's.Would I change the current line up? Looking at their record I probably would make some changes but I am not the coach.
