The way it was told to me, it would not be his choice to leave. It sounded like he may have ticked off the wrong people. Should be interesting to see if there is any truth to this rumor once the season ends.

I heard an interesting rumor Friday night regarding Coach Listerman at CovCath. Was told he would be leaving at the end of the season and possibly taking the Cooper coaching job? Anyone else hear something similar to this

Neither team showed me much. It was a pretty sloppy game Anyone notice the kids sliding all over the floor, especially in the first half

I had a run-in with a current assistant coach recently. He sure liked to swing fists first and ask questions later. Apparently, he's been in many altercations like this before. I'm surprised they keep guys like that on staff at such a high-class school

I definitely would be worried........ they have one loss and that was to #1 Mason County. Grant it they could have played better, but I do not think they have anything to worry about

I talked to my cousin last night who graduated in '96. He said he was under the impression that during the regular season there were no set starters. Once the region tourney started he said the following were the starters. PG - Romito, SG - Ruwe, SF - Davis, PF - Reeves, C - Roeding. For what it is worth, there was a Goetz in the class of '97 as well.

If you are going strictly by high school careers, Corey Grace does not belong on either teams

I'm not sure about 94-96 but I know Nick Skidmore ('97) quit in his Junior or Senior year. Who were some of the others?

Andy and Kevin would both be on it. I'd go with Lewin over Finke as well. What are you thoughts about Marc Bain? He's got to be the best shooter in that time period.

Really - were they mainly due to football? how many players are we talking about? would they have made a difference on the varsity level?

Is playing the freshman regional at CovCath that much of an advantage for them? Most of those teams in the 90's only lost a few games each year if that. I believe the 3 freshman teams from 94-96 only lost 5 games and some of those were to Ohio teams. Do most teams that host the regional tournament win it in the year that they host? I would think that this is not the case.

You'd think the success on the freshman level would have led to more regional championships for CovCath in the 90's. What was the reason for this? They had tons of success on the freshman and jv level in the 90's but they did not win the region on the varsity level from '92 to '04. Was it coaching or was it more on player personnel?

It seems like CovCath is always in the finals of this tournament. There was a stretch in the 90's where they won it 6-7 years in a row

I disagree, I do not think Coach L is in the top 2-3. He is better than Tieman.

I believe Grimes, Sorrell and Schmergee all came from the same grade school (St. Agnes)
