Final 1st round of the Republic Bank Classic tournament played at Lexington Catholic Trinity will play the winner of Clark Co/Hopkins Co Central tomorrow at 9pm

We are going to find out how good Elliott is in this Christmas tournament. Even if they struggle, it doesn't mean they aren't one of the better teams in Kentucky. Their schedule isn't the most difficult in the world and with the exception of the All A tournament, they could very well go to Rupp with only 1 or two losses. The knock against Elliott last year was when they played physical teams, they struggled. Cov Cath, Rose Hill and Mason County. We have heard in their scrimmages, they may have fixed that problem. I'm looking forward to seeing their first real test.

Before the season started, I figured this Royal team would lose 5 or 6 games and that was before these two losses to Franklin and Highlands. If they no longer play Lexington Catholic and Scott Co, that's fine. The next few years could have growing pains, but at the end of the day the Royals are right there for a 10th Region title. Just competing and possibly winning the 10th would be considered a huge accomplishment for this group.

It's already been said several times, I will agree 100 percent. Holmes is the hands down #1 team in the state right now. Of course, we all know that can change from game to game. :lol: Congrats to Holmes on the big win :thumb:
