J-Town advances to the championship game and will take on nationally ranked Franklin, WA tomorrow night.

 

Manual will play the third place game against Coral Reef, FL.

The game went to overtime and Jenkins did not play. Had the #2 player in Kentucky played this game would have went the other way. The game was not decided until an intentional foul was called on the Crimson with less than a minute to go in OT. Manual continues to improve.

Crimsonfan, you could be right, if Jenkins plays the game could have gone the other way. But remember JTown is still playing without their head coach and their best inside scorer in Tim Jackson. Also, the #1 player in the 7th region has only had 1 practice. When Morrow and Jackson come back and the team chemistry improves JTown will hit its stride and will repeat as 7th region champs. Good game for the Crimsons though, they played extremely hard.

I agree. 25 points on 7-14 shooting is impressive for his first game back.

 

J'town will have to have more players step up than just Cosby and Jackson though if they want to play with the other top 4 teams.

Manual deserves credit. The players that took the court played hard for both teams. No matter how its debated when the Crimson's get one of the state's top 2 players back in Jenkins they will be a much improved team and this game does not go to overtime.

Congrats J-Town

Most people didn't expect Manual to be within 25 points of J'town in this game without their best player Jenkins playing. What a hard fought game that was fun to watch. Congratulations to J'town.

Did anyone notice how much the 6' 10"Alex Nicolic has improved for Manual?

He's getting better with every game. Tough call on the blocked shot in the 4th quarter which fouled him out of the game. Could have easily been a no call. Him fouling out really hurt Manual. Nicolic was the only one able to grab rebounds for Manual.

 

Man the 7th is a tough region this year. There will be some surprising upsets this year in the 7th.

J-Town, Manual, Ballard, Male, Eastern, Trinity, and Moore could all be top 20 teams. Will the winner of the 7th region have any gas left in their tank for the state tournament, or will it seems like a walk in the park after surviving the regional? Anyone have an opinion on the last time Louisville high school basketball was this deep?
