10 Good
  1. It is time that Jerry Smith sits. He can't or won't play any defense and he is useless if he isn't hitting the three. Knowles provides defense and can hit an occassional three pointer. Knowles' positives far outweigh Smith's many negatives.
  2. Does anybody know what admission will be for the games and do they charge you to park?
  3. I had the privilege of knowing Danny both on and away from the sports' scene. He was the same no matter where he was. You could always count on him to greet you with a genuine nice greeting. He was a tremendous help to me all the years that I have been covering the Royals. He made my job a lot easier by providing me with stats. I also know his girls and they are a reflection of him and the way he treated people. We have truly lost a genuine bona fide Christian man who has gotten the reward that he had been working for. He has taken his place in heaven.
  4. Jerry Smith is the shooting guard. Preston has more than enough skills to play that position. That will get him playing time sooner.
  5. You're right, Pressrow, there is no room on the bandwagon for ex-UK fans. I don't know how anyone who has seen Knowles play can say that he is not a shooter. He has parking lot range and does everything else well. Just ask Russ Middleton how well he can play defense. When he gets a little stronger, he will be a big contributor to the Cardinals. He will fit in nicely backing up Jerry Smith.
  6. From my observations, it seems that a lot of the new guys are not former players. In my opinion, former players make the better referees because they have experienced most of what they are looking at on the court. I think it helps with instinct.
  7. Palacios and Jenkins are horrible. As upper classman, they should be the two leaders of the team and help the younger guys along. However, neither one of the two is doing anything. If I was Pitino, I would institute a full youth movement and sat these two for the rest of the season. That may help players like Clark and Scott develop quicker and be ready for a serious run, next season.
  8. I agree with Pressrow, it is a must win for Mason Co. if they have any chances of beating the Lady Indians in a matchup in the postseason. Another Montgomery County win regardless of the margin will kill any confidence Mason Co. may have going up against the Lady Indians in the future.
  9. BigBlue Freak, I don't know how many times you've watched Miller play, but you are way off base. He plays hard on both ends of the court and if you didn't see his intensity on the defensive end of the court, especially in the last part of the game when he completely shut down Novosel, I would be interested to know what your definition of intensity is.
  10. This was a great game to watch. Both teams played extremely hard and made clutch play after clutch play. This kind of a game has become typical when these two teams play each other.
  11. In my opinion Nick Anderson has a long way to go before he can be considered a consistent ball player. He seems to disappear at crucial times.
  12. Gold Sunrise, you validated my point with your statement. Teams have to make adjustments in every game in order to come out on top. Mason County made the adjustments. Neither team got the upper hand on the calls by the referees, therefore, the officiating didn't affect the outcome of the game.
  13. I feel like the officiating was horrible on both ends and, thus, had no effect on the outcome of the game. Mason County was simply the better team on that night. They again showed that they are not a one man team.
  14. I applaud Coach Hinson's decision to sat his starters against Lloyd. They were simply going through the motions and not giving any effort. Coach Hinson is a fiery guy and want's his kids to play with that same enthusiasm.
