Long time (20 Years) Statistican, Boys Golf Coach and Preacher was found dead tonight in Maysville. Danny love of Mason County Basketball was only surpassed by his love of his wife, kids and grandchildren. We all know you are heaven bound and will surely will be missed the community and the Royal famiily. Murph and myself will miss you not being with me at the scorer's table next year. Sounds like this man gave a lot in his lifetime. Let's try not to get depressed because he is gone but rather celebrate his life and the life he gave to others.

Our prayers are with the whole family. Danny was a dad to us all and our kids. Maysville has lost another great leader and friend.

I am in shock and numb of hearing of Danny's passing, what a great man. Just had a great talk with Danny yesterday at my work place and as a poster said above, never did you ever pass this guy without him having a smile on his face. We talked about work, basketball of course and the upcoming trip to Hawaii that the Mason County Royals are going to take this December. Oh how excited Danny was about this opportunity and how he was going to be a part of that trip. What a positive guy, loyal and a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great friend. He is a personal friend, and my family and his were long time next door neighbors. Graduated high school with his youngest daughter. What a blow to the Mason County community. From my family, our deepest sympathies go to the Danny Boyd family. He touched a lot of lives and never will be forgotten. Rest in peace DB!

Mr. Danny Boyd will definitely be in my prayers tonight.

As stated above, you literally never ran into Danny when he didn't have a smile and a kind word. Danny was also the grandpa to Lady Royals softball pitcher Brittany Black; and his entire family, as well as his extended MC Royals athletic family, was the light of his life.
