  1. WRONG! Its LITZINGER and he was 6-2 MAX and thats a fact. And even if Grutza did play bigger than he was listed, he was still listed at 6-2. The 2003 Royals weren't a big team at all.
  2. Downing is at least 6-3. And saying that Middleton is 6-4 is very generous. Setty is close to 6-7 too.
  3. No question about it. He is one of the best defenders in the state.
  4. Last time I checked, for us to play Scott County or Holmes when it matters, we would play in Rupp. I would take that any day of the week. The Royals focus will be on defending their 10th Region crown, and hopefully making the trip to Rupp. It won't be easy though, the 10th is wide open this year. Scott County and Holmes are good teams, and I hope we do get a shot at them come March.
  5. After watching this game, it is easy to see that Mason County is a much different team when they have Downing and Hamm playing. Downing gave the Royals a defensive spark, a little scoring, and some intensity that they desperately needed and Hamm brought leadership and good point guard play to help them. It is a night and day difference between Tuesday and Friday night. A 20 point win against a good Cov Cath team on the road is impressive. Phil Barner and Neal Pawsat played great tonight. Both have greatly improved from last year and I was amazed to see how much bigger Neal had gotten. Both of these players will play key roles for the Royals this year. It didn't really show up in the scoring column, but I think Russ played a good game as well. He pretty much scored at will, but it was nice to see him help his teammates get involved in the offense as well. He is a smart player and obviously knows that if the Royals are going to be successful this season, he will need help from several of his teammates and cant handle the entire scoring load by himself. This team will just keep getting better as the season goes on and they play more together. Great win Royals.
  6. If tonight is any indication, they will be an excellent defensive team.
  7. Im at the game. They are a totally different team with Downing and Hamm. And Hamm isn't even 100% yet.
  8. I don't know anyone from Mason County who claims they are from NKY. So I don't know what you are talking about.
  9. Who made it seem like that? How in the world could it be Highlands fault they didn't play? Highlands was missing players too, and they won. There are no excuses, Mason County just got beat.
  10. Mason County is missing two senior starters that will bring scoring and leadership to the team. One of the missing players is their second best player too. They will be much better when they come back.
  11. Both teams were not at full strength, but Highlands outplayed the Royals tonight.
  12. Barner was possibly fouled at the buzzer but they waved the foul off and we are headed to overtime.
  13. Downing and Hamm are not playing. Hamm is hurt and Downing is out due to Coach's Decision.
  14. http://www.maysville-online.com/articles/2008/12/02/local_news/680dan.txt Pretty good read in the Maysville paper about the 2008-09 Royals.
  15. Halftime Score: Mason County 28 Highlands 23. Russ leads the Royals with 10 points.
  16. 17-13 after the 1st quarter. Middleton hit a three at the buzzer for his only points.
  17. Agree with the team rankings, but I think the player rankings are a little off.
