I am looking for those myself. The people at Madison Central should be proud. Aaron Morris battled tonight and helped make a difference. Kentucky had a big disadvantage in height, but Morris and others made with a great deal of determination on D and rebounding.

Arrez Henderson was very solid. Always defense first for Arrez. I thought he played point extremely well getting to the paint several times and dishing out easy assists. Had a monster break away dunk off a steal.

 

Victor Moses also had a solid game as he used his big body and strength to give the 7 footer Tyler Zellar problems.

 

Hopson sort of had the hang dog look the first half and didn't get much done. Second half was a different story as he gave effort on defense and got some offense going.

I was also very impressed with Shelvin Mack and Darius Miller's vision of the court. They both see the court and pass very well. Mack and Miller looked D1 ready this afternoon.

Indiana had a 8 game winning streak going into tonights game.

Tyler Brown was on fire the 1st half hitting I believe 5-6 three pointers. Kid can really shoot and at 6'2" is quick athletic and can jump. Probably finished with about 22 points. Mack and Miller are both tough and both made some great passes. Mack missed I few threes in the first half that he usually nails.

 

The Garden was a hot stuffy 85 degrees. Guy sitting next to me had sweat rolling off his forehead. One of the most terrible venues in the state of Kentucky. I would have preferred being in Montgomery County's nice new gym or the Frankfort Convention Center or Memorial Coliseum. I was waiting for some of the ceiling tiles to fall out and hurt somebody. Probably a great gym in the 40s, but way out of date today. Indiana plays in Conseco Fieldhouse and then gets treated to this crappy 100 year old building. Come on I think we have much better venues around the state!!!! The Mason Fieldhouse is 10x better than that junky place!!!! One could probably pick 20 venues and this place wouldn't make anybody's list.

I thought the same thing. After attending the game Friday night at Conseco, it was embarassing to host them in this building!

Off game topic, but to show how special it is to play in this game from a 9th Region perspective- Only 34 9th region players have played in this game in its' 67 year history. Holmes has had 7, CovCath 5, Holy Cross 4, Highlands & Dixie 3, NCC, Newport & St Henry 2 and Dayton, Boone Co, Ludlow, Grant, Simon Kenton & Ryle 1.

You must not have watched the same game that I watched. Darius didn't really play that well in my opinion except for about a 5 min stretch in the second half to help extend their lead from 10 to around 20. He made a few key plays in this time period including a bucket, getting to the line, and getting a couple assists. I guess I have just seen him play alot better and I know he is capable of much more. This was a very average game for Darius.

 

I think that the All Star type game doesn't fit his personality very well. He is usually a team-first player, so the "let me get mine" atmosphere isn't where he thrives.

 

I was very impressed with Brown, Mack, and Moses though. Moses held his own in the paint vs. Zeller, and Brown rarely missed from 3 pt range. All in all, a good outing by the KY All Stars.:thumb:
