Can anyone give us a rundown on Lynch? Ryle made a mistake passing over Woolf for another assistant, but I'll hear it out.

I think the county/school has a responsibility to make the process competitive and to get the best coach for the school. If Woolf gets the job it is because he is a very good football coach, not as a favor. At least, I hope that is their process.

I can't agree. I don't think it's accurate to hang the team's record on anyone but the head coach, and from my angle the performance of the defense hasn't been questioned. There may be better coaches with better resumes out there, but Woolf isn't Warner.

There are a lot of posters on here who cite the "TCM," but I haven't seen any cite anything I would consider evidence. One would think on a website with anonymous accounts, free memberships, and even a controversial issues forum there'd be some claims of substance if there were such undue influence. Another thing that makes it appear unreliable is that those posters who bring up the "TCM" offer contradictory claims about its influence. Some say parents had all but taken over the team, including making personnel decisions. Others say parents had sought influence with Warner to get their kids on the field, and when it didn't work they had him fired. Both can't be true.

Well, they sound a ton better. You don't have to break the bank to get better quality, but the good stuff is noticeably better. I was blown away by the bass in my earbuds and can hear sounds in songs that I'd never heard before in the cheapos. It's like the difference between watching a movie with the internal laptop speakers versus watching a movie with full 5.1 surround sound. [Country music joke]

I've heard the Beats are way overpriced compared to competitors. How true is that?

I have Klipsch S4 earbuds and they've been very impressive. I had no idea what I was missing before. I'd like to find a pair of reasonably priced over-ear headphones too, though.

Completely off cable now. Still get the local channels in HD. I have the Roku player that lets me stream Hulu, Netflix, MLB, etc. The only thing I miss is ESPN, but I get ESPN3 on my computer and can plug in.

You mean you really think people thought the middle school program they started just last year was going to turn them into a dominant program this year? Your logic is flawless.

I imagine they would very much like to emulate Highland's prowess as a program and a recent victory over them shows that it is possible, achievable with the right stuff.

It was mentioned in another thread that the football team is disproportionately small for a school this size as well as in contrast to previous years. Was there every an explanation for that?

Is there a rule that a state record holder should face a certain number of "ranked" opponents? Do state record holders have to beat teams you consider good? Do state record holders have to win their games by a small margin of points? Do state record holders have to file an application before the season to qualify? He didn't do anything but run against the teams set against him. That's no simple task, and if his record gets broken I'll be happy for that kid too.
