  1. When is the Gridorama with Corbin vs. Clay? I thought it was Friday, August 22nd. Now I am hearing some say it is on Thursday, August 21 st.
  2. Corbin fan base is usually large . . . I don't see it to be any different this year. The bowl is organized and well run. I, for one, am looking forward to it. GO HOUNDS!!!!
  3. According to my sources Corbin did very well running the ball as well as blocking. Taylor was moved to the right side to take up where Creech had to sit out. This helped to balance the line. We scored on a pass play and almost without exception those that attended are reporting very positive things. GO HOUNDS!!!!
  4. 7:00p.m. Friday at Danville.
  5. News like this makes me sick. We will be praying for the family, team and coaches during this horrible time.
  6. It was Kyle West a freshman and son of assistant Basketball coach, Brent West. He had surgery to place a rod in his right leg. He broke a femur during drills. (No pads, no hitting) The doctors seem to think he must have had a stress fracture there and didn't know it. He is recovering nicely. He obviously won't be playing football this year but the doctors are hoping he may be able to shoot some hoops in basketball season.
  7. C.J. Crawford is just a junior.
  8. He changed his mind.
  9. Forgot another one- Logan Matlock-WR/DB
  10. Also Mcvey-OL/DL and Creech-DL
  11. Sometimes the refusal to play other schools has nothing to do with feeling they will lose but for some other reason between coaches. I know for a fact that Corbin plays a strong schedule year in and year out. We are not afraid to play anyone. The thing with Bell County has nothing to do with feeling like we would lose. They are a strong team and would be great competition we welcome the opportunity to play bigger schools with good programs. (We played Dunbar (6A) last year and won.) I sometimes just think it is a case of coaches personalities clashing. . . for whatever reason.
  12. Prayers from the Hound household.
  13. The times are 4.74 and 4.69 for the kid at Corbin. Two players had times under 4.55 and this comes from Coach Phillips. Not sure who you all talked to but we were there saw the whole thing talked to Coach Phillips, Brown, and Brooks saw the times written and recorded and the 4.5 and 4.47 are the accurate times. They even had him run a third time to confirm it. However, no one is twisting your arm to believe it though. You don't have to. But facts are facts. Thanks guys.
  14. Joker Phillips timed the forty. Rich Brooks who witnessed the run recorded it and showed the recorded time to the parents and Caleb. He wouldn't have any reason to record a false time. So, the numbers weren't fudged. When he ran the forty the first time he ran a 4.5 then he (Joker Phillips) called over Rich Brooks and Caleb ran a second time. It was a 4.47. Rich Brooks confirmed it and recorded it.
  15. It appeared intentional but I am not sure if Greer was just being forceful to avoid the run rather than actually trying to hurt another player. I tend to believe the latter but it was controversial.
  16. Kyle Nelson was an excellent pitcher. We started hitting late. The three run homer by Greer was our nemesis. Josh threw him a pitch that was a little too hard to resist. At the end we could have had players on 1st and 3rd but for some reason the player on third decided to run home and got slammed by Greer at the plate which caused the out. (I am not sure if this was player choice or coaches for him to go home) but that is just baseball. We gave a great effort and had a great season. We have no reason to hang our heads. Hope the Bobcats go all the way!
  17. I hope Corey changes his mind. However, both he and Coiltin have spoken to the coach about leaving. Nothing has changed in the recent past. I hope they both reconsider. Luke Stewart has been lifting with the team but I am not sure Hendrickson has made a final decision. The possibility of losing basketball playing time because they can't participate as much during the summer time seems to make the decision more difficult for most players of both sports.
  18. Corbin also played a JV game prior to playing Bell. Because we are a young team many players played both games. We will also be rested and ready for a great contest among the best in the 13th. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS!
  19. Corbin will have a formidable opponent in Bell. Coach Ledington is loved by this team still. He still cares for the players. However, he will have his team ready and Garmon will have his ready. If Corbin does lose this game most of the Redhound fans will pull for Bell. As for both teams this year, they both came a long way. Corbin lost nearly all of their pitching and we've still managed to win over 20 games . . . that is an awesome accomplishment for any high school team. Neither of these teams need to hang their heads and both will only improve in the next few years. GO HOUNDS!!!
  20. Corbin game is canceled.
  21. Campbell was out----he was tagged before any part of his body reached the base. I was right behind the plate and saw it. McCumbers did a great job and the both teams played tough. It is unfortunate that one teams moves on in a game of this caliber. The colonels had a fine year.
  22. Michael will be a force to contend with. There are other hounds working hard as well, Caleb Watkins broke the previous clean record by 15 pounds. He cleaned 285lbs. last time.
  23. Any game stats or particulars?
