The draw is Saturday that's about all I know as of right now.

You can spin it however which way you'd like to, that's your opinion. My opinion is the call was reversed because of who was arguing it. Not sure how a bobble of the ball would in fact pull him off the bag but from my view their was no bobble. As far as criticism goes, umpires are fair game. If I don't do my job correctly, I get criticized. I'm sure you would as well just like anybody else. Umpires are no different and I felt they didn't do their job on that call... If they can't take criticism then don't do it. All in all though its a pretty meaningless call in a pretty meaningless game...

And honestly, I wasn't questioning Coach W's antics. I was questioning the integrity of such officials to give into a coach just because of who it was.

I actually played in this game and I'm having trouble recalling the exact details and why you're bringing it up.

I believe the first base coach for Harrison said the first basemen pulled off the bag on a throw to first. He was ruled out. Mac went to the home plate umpire first and he said don't talk to me basically. Went to first base ump and talked and the two umps finally got together and reversed the call. This had taken place over about a 5 minute span. GRC's players were already off the field and getting ready to bat and the home plate umpire had already wiped off the plate like they do in between innings. Call reversed and GRC was made to take the field again. Next at bat the hitter got a hit and the first run scored in the game.

Never been a fan of his tactics honestly... and as of now I could care less. Just observing. He does win though...

Game changed early in the 2nd inning when Mac got his way after crying about a call. Next batter up got a hit and Harrison scored the first run of the game. The inning had already switched and both teams flip flopped on/off the field and Mac got the play reversed. It's a shame these umpires are afraid of a coach like Mac. GRC started all seniors so abunch of players were out of place for the first three innings.

Big win for the Cards. GRC got all four runs in the first inning.

Good to hear. I'm glad GRC put a beating down on them after what happened last year.

Mason Co. will be # 1 and should win every game by about 10 points until proven otherwise.

Is Marshall predicted to be the better of the 3 GT? I know Mason had lots of hype coming in but I keep hearing better and better things about Marshall.

Guys, the region game is over and has been over for awhile. Mason won, GRC lost end of story. Next year is a new year. And trust me, Vinny is going no where so you can stop wishing.

Probably a smart decision. Congrats to the kid. :thumb:

Has a team ever been pre season ranked #1 in state and not be the favorite to win their own region? I think there is a strong possibility for this to occur next year.
