Top sophomores
After reading the thread about the Clay Co. kid, he has to be one of the best IMO.

Ashland vs Greenup Part II
I agree. It only took 30 posts to get this thread headed in the wrong direction. I hate how it seems in every Ashland thread the 'haters' always have to post negative rumors and personal opinions just to 'stir the pot.'

Lexington Heralds Rating the State
Those are some tough losses.. It would be nice to see them get a quality win before I could consider them a top 25 team at this point in the season though. That's just my opinion. But I heard a lot of good things about them before the season started.

Lexington Heralds Rating the State
Who has Hoptown played so far this year? And who is their win against? It's hard to understand how a team that is 1-4 is a top 25 team in this state.

Best running back in region 4 class AAA...
While I agree that he probably is the best back in 3A, that wasn't the question. In reply to the original post, my vote goes for Thomas, but I am bias.

Boyd Co. vs Wheelersburg Predictions!
Do they start two QB's too? If you say yes to that I might have to change my prediction.

Boyd Co. vs Wheelersburg Predictions!
Boyd 14-8 in a shocker. :scared: The local Ohio schools all see to be down a little this year.

MJs Boys To Be on ESPN
I know one of them had UK listed in their top 3 a few months ago, it was Marcus I believe. I would say both will play basketball, the pressure isn't that much, however I doubt either even think about playing for UNC. I can understand them not wanting to play for UNC under that pressure. But they shouldn't just call it quits at basketball all together just because it's unlikely they will ever be half of what their dad was.

Nice to see that the Tomcats will make the final cut, with HHS shuffling their schedule around as much as they are.:thumb:

Ashland vs Portsmouth West Predictions
I too know nothing about West this year. As LRCW said, they beat Portsmouth 21-20 Friday night. Last year they were down. They are traditionally a tough team, so last years game doesnt mean much in my opinion. They'll want this game bad after last years drubbing and after looking at their schedule, Ashland is the largest school Portsmouth West plays this year. So it would arguably be their most important game this year, using the Ohio playoffs points system.

Russell vs Ashland moved to Saturday night
If nothing else comes out of this thread, at least after 250 posts, someone understands the topic of this thread. Which is, for anyone that doesn't understand, there will be football saturday night, at Putnam Stadium (or that old dump as some of you call it) at 7:30pm sharp! :sssh:

Russell vs Ashland moved to Saturday night
You do understand I said there were other games in the "Tri-State" that were postponed, right? I really dont feel like searching for Kentucky schools that may have postponed, there may not be any others, it really doesn't matter. The fact is I just read a list of about 14 games throughout the "Tri-State" that have been cancelled. The weather in Huntington and Ironton is more relevent to this conversation than the weather in say Covington, Lexington, Paducah, or even Pikeville is.

Russell vs Ashland moved to Saturday night
First of all it's not the "only" game in the tri-state area that was postponed, it's just the only people want to complain about. Secondly, the reason it was moved to Saturday is because that is when the people who get paid to make that decision decided the game should be played. It's that simple, the decision has been made, the game will be played tomorrow, people will still show up, and from what CNN is telling me, the world will still be spinning.

Russell vs Ashland moved to Saturday night
They usually do follow our lead. :thumb: They did let parents start coming to pick up their kids today around 11 though, due to the flooding. I would say the reason their game wasn't cancelled also has a lot to do with the distance Pike Central had to travel to play the game. Russell is a 5 minute drive from Putnam. Cancelling the BC/PikeCentral game would have caused a lot more inconviniences than doing the same for the Russell/Ashland game would have.

Russell vs Ashland moved to Saturday night
No, but the Boyd County/Ashland area has been hit the hardest. Parts of Boyd County recieved 3 inches of rain Wednesday alone. This is Friday and as I type this Im looking out the window watching it rain. At least two times this week schools in Boyd County have been let out early due to flooding. Anyone who can't realize that there is a lot of water saturation right now probably needs a nap.
