I never even heard of Johnson Central, so I doubt too many people are ducking them. Is it a newer school? I don't exactly think they would strike a lot of fear into most of the established teams.

Covcath hasn't beaten Highlands more than one or two times in the last decade! I don't see that ever changing.

The school is in absolute shambles. I know there is ongoing construction, but the facade of the buildings are terrible. The gym has boards over the windows and a $7 window air conditioner dripping water everywhere. The overall condition in the front of the school is a poor reflection on the city. Get it cleaned up or just have a year of away games.

I agree, that's a dilemma. Why schedule a team that's so bad then. That's why Highlands dropped Ncc.

Yes I am a Camel supporter, but I don't think 70 pts is necessary. I heard my Camel brethren complain for years about the 88pts that Highlands put up and now the Camels do the same thing. I don't agree with it.

Well, they've already lost one. Next will be Covcath, Ryle and Beechwood. Who knows, maybe Newport can beat them if you don't make errant throws and turn the ball over. I wish you luck. Would love to see Newport trounce Ncc.

I apologize to Belfry. I thought NC would stuff the run, and be able to have some success on offense. I had too much faith in NC. They must have been a 1 year wonder. I'm now predicting NCC will lose 4 regular season games.

It's not going to take an hour to figure out that you point one more defensive guy out there on the defensive left side and bring him.

Doesn't sound like NC is much to fear right now. Your Wildcats should be all they want at this point.

Maybe you don't understand. I understand perfectly. They were not going to be stopped. Highlands should have either not lined up with the unbalanced formation, or line up in that formation and shift and kick it. Don't tell me they don't have the basic kick formation because I saw it twice on FG attempts. There is absolutely no need to show the extra point gadgetry against an inferior opponent. Think about it.

I really thought NCC would handle Belfry somewhere in the 35-12 range. I'm rooting for Belfry, but I didn't give them enough respect. Of course, if NC struggled with Dixie, then from what I saw, they must also have a lot to still work on.

Why are they still scrimmaging rather than having a game?

Dixie kept leaving one guy over there by himself. All the holder had to do was roll that way and the defensive player either had to leave his man and come up to stop the ball or play the receiver and the holder could walk into the endzone. It was NOT well-covered.

My prediction was Belfry would be held to 87 total rushing yards. Sounds like a game with either great defense or terrible offense. Maybe a little of both.

Nice job by the Camels. Now they can't complain about Highlands putting 88 points of them anymore.

I'm not knocking the guy's coaching. It was still early when he was going for two, but it was very evident from the opening drive that this wasn't going to be a game that the 2 pt conversion was going to be needed. My point is not that he was trying to blow out Dixie. My point is this: Why show everything?

I did think Newcath would blow them out. Maybe they still will, but looks like I was wrong.

I like to put points on the board, but I think you line up and kick it when your playing a far inferior opponent. You might need those plays against Elder or St . X. Why give Elder or St X the time to scout it? Did it make a difference if it was 45-0 tonight instead of 48-0? As I said earlier, it could have been 70 -0 if Highlands really wanted to put up points. Those 2 pt conversions were totally unnecessary.

Looks like my 63-7 prediction wasn't too far off. I said 42-0 at the half and it could have easily been 42 or more at the 1/2 if not for a couple of fumbled snaps and a missed fg. The other thing that stopped Highlands was botched snaps. I thought Highlands was kind except for a couple 2 pt conversions. They could have basically run the ball for a T.D. anytime they wanted to, but decided to work on the passing game. Had they decided to keep running the ball it would have been 60 or 70 to zero.

I now have a multitude of passes!
