I think so ... but with the way we pasted them 2 years ago in the playoffs they are acting like this game is for the championship of the free world. We need to jump on them early and get their fans out of the game. We've grown up a lot since last year. Our team was so young that they'd get down and just get rolled. We had every bad break in the world go against us in the first quarter last week and dropped down 14-0 but we battled back .. it was encouraging. We may split 1-1 this year so we'll go ahead and let you win the first game LOL.

Never said Henry Clay is North Bullitt. But you know Lafayette held your team to 6 points too. Dalton Cissell ran for 910 as a freshman, 2143 as a sophomore last year. So far this year he has 496 yards in 4 games. Including 250 yards against 6A Shelby County. Lafayette held him to under 40 yards. Guess how many times that happened last year? Zero. So while North Bullitt may not be in the same league as HC (although considering the problems Clay had stopping Boyle ....) This was a team that averaged 33.5 points a game last year and is averaging over 40 a game this year. So I'd say Lafayette's D is up to the challenge. Once again I think this game is a toss up so I am not disrespecting HC ... I just think they are underestimating a team who currently has a two year scoreboard advantage.

Yeah now I'm hearing it's because they didn't want to conflict with the Friday night Louisville game and since both schools are out on that Friday, they moved it to Thursday night. I've said all along that the team could afford to lose Cissell before Reynolds ... guess we will see. Love to see Reynolds back in uniform for the BE game. I want to win with you at full power! Honestly the ribbing on Boyle County is meant in jest .. if you notice no where do I talk about any of the kids on the team nor Coach Purdue who I think, given time, will be a fine coach. More or less I'm poking fun at the fans that have this since of entitlement that they should still be ranked despite being 0-4 (soon to be 0-5). The rankings should be based on how teams are doing this year, yet 0-4 BC is ahead of 4-0 Marion County. FWIW BE shouldn't be #3 because they are 2-2 (despite both loses being by 1 point) It seems they are given too much credit for past accomplishments. I'm a ND homer and it would be like me arguing that 0-3 ND should be in the top 25 despite their putrid showing because 1) the are the second winningest team of all time and 2) their schedule has been tough.

You say that as if it wasn't an accomplishment. Considering they are averaging 40 points a game holding them to 6 on their home field is pretty darn good. Also they have one of the top 5 RB's in the state and Lafayette held him to under 40 yards and 4 fumbles. He may not have fumbled 4 times in his last two years.

Marion County seems to be pretty fired up to face BE. Hope BE can manage the same desire against a team we pasted last time we met. They are expecting their biggest crowd. BE will need to come out fast to take the crowd out of the game.

No they won't be sad because then they can lay claim to being the best 0-5 team in the state :ylsuper: I will say if BC manages to win it would have to qualify for the biggest upset in the state with the 92-16 prediction.

I think Lafayette's defense will be the difference in this game. Definitely a close game to call. I get a kick out of people dissing Lafayette based on their schedule. The win and the way they won at North Bullitt was very impressive. They are talking about moving the North Bullitt vs. Bullitt East game to Thursday night so U of L can scout Reynolds and Cissell. Yet Lafayette stuffed their high powered offense and held Dalton under 40 yards. Henry Clay is a power and is probably favored in this one but underestimating Lafayette would be a mistake.

I had to pull for DeSales just because we beat them and my kid almost went there.
