He might end up getting beat out for the job. Good kid, needs to learn not to get down on himself when he has a bad couple of plays (like the whole team last year). Tough scrimmage this week. Looking forward to seeing the DT who signed with Notre Dame also. Running game is looking better as a couple of the kids bulked up and BE is pretty much 4 deep at RB and throw in the QB and they have 5 strong runners. Last year if the kids got down early they were done .. hopefully that was youth and they will overcome that this year. Heard North Bullitt didn't look too good in their scrimmage last Friday night.

I was surprised North was ranked as low as they were .. very talented squad.

Funny about the rivals videos .. because if the videos on Robert Hughes are 1/2 as accurate as they appear then he might gain 4724 yards next year at Notre Dame. Or look at Noel Devine's videos .. if they are true he might be the next Barry Sanders LOL

I give time2punt some crap from time to time .. just natural rival school but this would be my honest assessment. My first question is are you Dalton because man you are all over him. My honest assessment is he will never play division 1 football at Tailback. If he adds 30 lbs he would have a shot at fullback. I've seen 4 full games of his including the last two against Bullitt East. (note I am only basing my opinion on those 4 games so I haven't seen his best or his worst probably) If he doesn't have a big first quarter he will disappear sometimes. He doesn't go up the middle very well. He has great lateral speed getting to the outside and he has enough strength to break hs level corners. Yards gained in HS doesn't really mean a heck of a lot. As far as comparision goes, IMO he is on the level of Corey Rakes if not a little better and Rakes will be playing safety at Air Force not running back. I would think Reynolds would have the brighter future in college than Cissell. He would have been better served staying at Central and playing against a higher level of competition. I hate to be negative against a kid but that is my honest assessment of him. He doesn't have the skill set to play D1 at tailback. Reynolds on the other hand with the ability he has to play any skill position and IMO much better game time speed, has a shot at D1. Without Reynolds North Bullitt is a .500 team. Without Cissell IMO you are still a 7-3, 8-2 team. If I were an East coach instead of an East fan I would concentrate on stopping Reynolds.

Bold prediction ... Dalton is ruled ineligible when everyone realizes that his youngest kid just started 10th grade. LOL sorry time2punt couldn't resist. You still have scoreboard so hats off and good luck this year. Will East and North have to play that early in the playoffs? Gotta go see how they are set up.

North Bullitt should be the team to beat this year in 4A. They had some serious mental lapses in games last year but that goes with being young .. they shouldn't have that happen again this year. What's there schedule this year?

Well IMO for one thing they need to get stronger. The Veer is designed for power runners to go up the middle and all we had were speed backs last year. I think they will rebound with a 8-2 or 9-1 season. The coach was definitely not pleased with last season and it has shown with the attitude he is bringing to off season workouts. I believe the kids will respond.

Hard to argue those predictions either. Should be three very close games for the title.

Ours is Charger Classic vs ??? Desales Bullitt Central Central N. Bullitt Fairdale Larue County Manual Marion County Nelson County Or at least that's what I'm hearing for now.

I say Doss pulls the win by less than 6. Central - North Bullitt will be close like the first one. Despite the rivalry with East, I'd like to see North win since it is a Bullitt County School. So I'll go with the upset and say the Eagles by 6.

They did as I noted in the opening post of this thread. However, they are not the greatest team in the century as timetopunt (which is funny because that is a good name for a North Bullitt fan) would have you to believe. Our kids were a bit complacent believing we had a playoff spot locked up and it cost us. The end is near scenario that some would have you believe is far from true. East has a better football program from ground up and return more starters than North does next year. North has a QB that can't throw (but is a hell of a runner) a very solid (but way too old to be a sophomore) runner. He acts like North ran up and down all game on East but the fact is Cissell had 94 yards on 2 carries. His other 22 carries went for a grand total of 55 yards .. pretty much the exact same thing we did to him last year. Reynolds had 2 carries for 95 yards and his other 15 went for a grand total of 38 yards. 4 big plays they got to our 1. Hats off to them they got the 4 plays, but don't believe the hype that they ran us off the field. That and the fact that they were 0-3 against the playoff teams doesn't bode well for them. I would like to see North win because they are from Bullitt County but like I said don't buy into the hype. They are a better than average team who managed to beat East when East was having a down year. All that does is make them par with Fairdale and Nelson County for one season. Get to the final 4 of 3A or at least win a playoff game first.

Cissell will be 19 before the 09 season starts .. how exactly will he be playing? East fans are here win or lose ... North fans only show up when the get lucky and win one. Good fan support.

Not saying anything that isn't true ... 0-3 vs the other playoff teams. East has beaten North 8 out of the last 10. Your season is probably over this week which would be one week longer than ours. So if telling the truth = drinking kool aid, guess I'm guilty. Notice you talked a lot of trash after we lost to Fairdale and then shut up after you guys lost to Doss. Typical fair weather fan. Sort of like if Navy had upset Notre Dame last weekend then Navy fans acted like they owned Notre Dame. Winning once in 9 years and acting superior is quite humerous. I see you guys win with the same class you lose with ... you may have won last week but you still have to go back to North Bullitt so you lose in the end either way.. 0-3 against the other playoff teams ... Think you'd beat Doss and Valley 8 or 9 times out of 10. Sort of like East has North Bullitt huh? Like I said you got scoreboard this year so congrats on your win and your mediocre season you are so proud of. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then, but in the end the same squirrel ends up squashed in the road. Your season lasted one week longer than ours did Congrats.

Well good luck with that next season. You are really excited over a mediocre 7-3 season and a 4 seed in the playoffs with the other 3 seeds going 3-0 against you. East on the other hand is dissappointed with their mediocre season in which we went 2-1 against those same 3 teams. You have scoreboard for this year so enjoy it.

Cissell is great as a sophomore. He'd be decent as the senior he is supposed to be. Reynolds won that game for you not Cissell. There was a lot of doubt that North was better at most positions. The breaks fell your way and I congratulate you. We'll see you next year and start a new winning streak.

Doss has a bunch of Sophomores on that team to. As a parent of a BE junior I'm glad we aren't in their region next year.

Yeah looks like we are out, not sure how a tie breaker would work if Valley somehow found a way to lose to Waggoner.

If Doss did indeed lose then I believe North is the 3 seed and East is the 4 seed and Doss is out.
