How should a basketball coach handle a player that quits football during football season because the player feels the pressure to be on the basketball court practicing? Should the coach tell the player to stay with football until the end of the season or should he allow the player to practice? Thoughts??????????

I think Covercorner is correct on this one. I saw the Catholic vs Scott County game and I think Catholic scored 3 or 4 TDs out of the I or an off-set I formation.

They should have beaten Lexington Catholic last year in the playoffs. They are a team with a lot of experience and they will be pretty good.

Why shouldn't you rank teams on tradition? Year in and year out, the same teams are always in the hunt for a state title. Let a team prove they deserve to be ranked high, but don't give it to them. Teams with tradition have proved in the past that they deserve to be there.

Catholic played for 4 days. They attended UKs passing camp and played in the Friday night tournament, which they won. The 26 games played was only their #1 team. Their #2 team played about 18 to 20 games.

I believe Catholic played with 3 different teams all week. Two of them varsity and 1 JV team. So, one can assume that their players were spread out.

I think you would have to put Justin Burke from Lexington Catholic on this list. He did lead them to a state championship, which had not happened in Lexington in some time.

I think Lexington Catholic will be there on Friday and Saturday. They are also attending the camp.

Franklin County got the worst draw. Catholic will be OK if they can get to the finals without pitching Moronde. This should be one awesome tournament!

Now, I for one agree that Trinity is and has been the best team in the state for a while now, I don't know what you can conclude from a scrimmage? Coaches are not playing or preparing for it like a game? Coaches are trying to see what your team has and see what players will step up? I don't think LexCath watches film of Trinity before they play, which makes a big difference.

You mean, you will take Manuel and Central against the Lexington Public schools, but what about Lexington Catholic?

Is this going to be a down year for QBs in Kentucky? I have not heard of any Nick Petrino's, Kaelin Ammon's, Justin Burke's, and many others from the past couple years. What I mean is there are no big names that are getting a lot of attention. The QB from Frankfort sounds like he is the real deal, but will he play QB in college?

LexCath used to have a Knight riding a horse that led the team onto the field.

I am not saying that you are wrong, but the stats were turned in after their lost in the playoffs. It says he played 11 games. The coaches need to get it right because college coaches will see this as official. Coach B or someone on his staff is who would have turned them in.

It is hard for a player who only had 569 yards passing and 7 TDs with 6 interceptions in 11 games last year to get a lot of attention. If those #s are true, then he is a stud and will soon be getting a lot of attention.

Shane Israel from Lexington Catholic is one of the best running backs I have seen play in a long time.
