  1. I just hope to watch some good clean ball. and those dang umps behave themselves!
  2. ok Red, let's not keep getting personal and having posts shut down over silliness, considering you don't even know who I am or anything about me. as for Conditioning - Practicing its all the same when it comes down to it and yes I have been there, and no I didn't say I worked every concession, and have yet to even comment on basketball as I don't like basketball, I prefer my sports outside. I do attend an occassional basketball game, and must admit antonio was spectacular out there.
  3. Oh, I enjoy the school and the kids. I'm just hate'n seeing kids walked on by coaches with attitudes and arrogance out the tail. I'm there at the events, working watching doing what needs done. I'm just finally sick of no one ever getting honest with things on here and always pretending the coaches are god like in their jobs. I've not said anything neg about the football program other than the spread offense. Even like the idea of some of those becoming the head coaches both at the high school and middle school level. I didn't join BGP to put icing on a cake, I joined to pick out the bad apples out before they ruin the whole basket. I'm sorry y'all seem so personally offended by my opinions but grow up. You know what they say about opinions, I'm just starting to show mine. If you can't handle the comments of others then you shouldn't be give'n people the chance to jump in there and fight back with their own. :flame:
  4. I'll have to go with Beach, the Blume is good and had a great defense helping him out. Beach made his own holes to run through, he's got the foot action. Both boys are great and deserve big pats on the back.
  5. Would love to see another grand slam by a Lion during state for sure!
  6. Didn't know you were expecting PMs. I've just been trying to keep to the forums. And with no one else talking about the middle school in the other forum I figured why rattle on.
  7. Sorry buckman, just letting Redblood know I'm still around.
  8. If they're going to do that then why not just make a mercy rule and let the boys go home early.
  9. You all are right on about that, if they can't get together and play as a team then there isn't much point in putting on the uniforms. Everyone on that field has to feel needed and appreciated by all to get it to come together. So I sure hope the new coach can pull them together and put that feeling back into Boyd.
  10. Some of us die-hard boyd fans have been there telling the team what a great job and didn't see the need to repeat it here in typing. And some of us even work out of town for a few days at a time and spend downtime sleeping instead of posting.
  11. I do know I've been watching the practices and so far evans does seem to be giving all the boys a shot at showing what they can do in different positions other than walking on the field and saying "ok, your going to be my superstar this year, don't care if you've ever qb'd or not your it so get ready" I think the boys will respect a coach that lets them show where their strengths already are instead of trying to make them change to suit the momma does this daddy does that so thier son gets best spot attitude. (qb was just an example not a personal remark too)
  12. That is the truest statement I've read! :ylsuper:
  13. Yea, if the County Boys don't make it to state, I look for it to be an all Ramsey coaching staff next year. Good inside sources say that's what Gavin Ramsey's at Boyd for. Hopefully Boyd will stop Raceland this time, but they're coming to beat their old coach not so much the boys so it puts that lil edge on them.
  14. That's a good question, just exactly how many years of High School Sports can an athlete play?
  15. Your so right and I just don't see Boyd having a strong enough defense to keep running the spread as it's main play.
  16. Luckily the T-Ball field doesn't care who makes what just so kids show up and play. BCNLL seems to be at an all time high this year with members and I think it's great.
  17. yea RB you have definately gotten ridiculous. And you say I'm telling cold hard lies. It's time to wake up and smell the aroma going around Boyd, and it sure isn't roses.
  18. What about if you take away all the points from the Bracken County game? But what I'm saying is, Boyd doesn't have the defense to depend on runing that spread offense. Heck two or three plays into a game and the other teams all knew what to expect and took advantage of it. The plays were all too easy to read.
  19. I agree, even with Damron leaving he still has my respect because he was a good man and coach. Can't change how you feel about a person because they have a desire and need to move forward with their career and life.
  20. True coaches know how to turn those "bad" attitudes into good engergy on the field.
  21. If the people of Ironton have their way though, they will be hiring a new athletic director and keeping Lutz. I'd like to see Lutz win this one and get to finish up in Ironton for a few more years.
  22. Yea that's right they won't get cut because they won't make it past first round tryouts and booster meetings. As soon as a kid with no parental support shows up he's not even given the chance to play as there would be no one scheduled to work the concessions with him and untill I see otherwise out there to prove me wrong there's not much else to say about it.
  23. Well since a coach made the schedule I'm sure the parents will still be showing up to avoid cuts next season. Uhm.....and considering everyone on here seems to have time to "burn up this message board" what does that have to do with it? I do my volunteer work, more than alot do. I show up and do what needs done, offer to step in when someones got problems and can't be there. What my point is, if you have a kid from a poor family that doesn't have any way to get a parent to give a rats butt if he's a ball player or not. But he's a killer ball player, just aint right that at boyd he wouldn't be give the shot to become a player. That's the cold hard facts of life at boyd.
