when it comes down to it, walton got the L and gallatin got the W. no matter how bad the refs were, they were bad both halves for both teams. Fouls were called even in the fourth quarter and walton still only scored 12 points. Gallatin is just to deep for walton, the walton kids were dead in the second half because gallatin has so many different weapons.

Kids from gallatin had attitudes? namely 44 and 20 cried the whole entire game. Gallatin beat Walton by 22, and there two big guys never scored. I am sure that gallatin cant wait to play walton again with refs that call a good game b/c it will probably get uglier than 22 points. Walton scored 3 points in the third quarter, that has nothing to do with refs, they just couldnt get it done against gallatins half court D.

Walton gave up 63, and only scored 69, at least GC has the offense to cover up there so called bad defense.

We are talented enough to score 100 points, when you have that you will give up some baskets. Don't count on the cats to give up this many in the future. When walton score 100, call me up, let me know. with an average winning margin of about 35 it doesnt seem that they are letting teams stay in the game.

Gallatin 85 Trimble 48, will not be a close game, maybe in the beginning but gallatin is way to deep for trimble.

Talking about the rankings, no one ever gives gallatin any credit. They are 10 to 11 deep and they can play with the best. I do not look for anyone in their district to come close to them and they are a serious threat to win region.

Gallatin is from the 8th, and i agree with you qryche11, i think the will definately make some noise. Although edmondson would help out, they are not going to be without talent by any means.

walton and sk will be no contest

The way i look at it is gallatin has some room to be cocky. nobody played with them at the jv level last year and i dont think the carroll game will be any different. If i were you point park fans i would lay low because the LITTLE wildcats are coming for you.

Gallatin made more errors in these two games than they have made in their last 10. When they were on there winning streak they only made 2 errors in 8 games.

This was a very good game and a pitchers dual. Josh Giles a junior pitcher was on the hill for gallatin today, he gave up 2 hits, 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. He threw his third consecutive complete game for the widcats. They will play Owen county on thursday in the NCKC tournament and scott brown will be pitching, good luck cats.

These guys are competitors, 7-0 in football, 19-10 in basketball, and now they have an 8-6 record thus far for baseball. It is essentially the same group of kids playing every sport.

The cats are really on a roll... and it all starts with the pitching, during this streak the cats pitchers have thrown 6 complete games and have had great defense behind them. Tonight giles the pitcher threw a complete game with 10 strikeouts 1 walk and 2 earned runs, also added two doubles. Nice job GC and keep it rollin with bellvue tomorrow where sott brown will be on the hill.

Could this be the turning point for gallatins baseball team?

Gallatin has a junior pitcher that throws in the low to mid 80's and was either fourth or fifth in strikeouts last year in NKY as a sophomore. But being at Gallatin he never gets looked at.

Do you boone county people have an excuse for everything... Let me guess, the long drive had something to do with it too. It's alright to lose and how are you going to fit all of those people in any other gym in the 8th region?? Guess what you will have to drive all the way back down there next year.

Lets hope so coach.. this team worked very hard this year people told them they would be lucky to win 8 games and they won 19. There is plenty room for improvement though. this is a tough group of young kids and i think they will work hard over the summer to improve their game.

I dont think that is the case, walton is going to be way down next year and he thinks he will be a help and play on a winning team at SK. I cannot say that i would blame him.

Gallatin should have pulled this one out. They spotted oldham 9 to start the game, and they had too many turnovers. Gallatin is a very young team and i look for them to compete for the regional championship next year. Maddox had an excellent game but once again they couldnt get more than one or two players to step up and have a big game.

simon kenton will be stronger next year getting the daughtery kid from walton. But gallatin will definately be back next year and i believe they will be a much stronger force.

I think this will be an exciting game in the first round of the 8th region. Gallatin hung with them until the last few minutes at oldham and they didnt play there best game. what is your take on this game?

Just to let all of you doubters of gallatins youth know... Gallatin won by nine and didnt get much offensive production out of senior guard justin davis. Great game didnt score much though.
