Wildcats cut a 40-30 lead to 44-43 with 2:55 left. Still trailed just 51-47 with 1:30 remaining, but turnovers on next 2 posessions snuffed Gallatin's chances.

Freshman Trent Maddox scored 22 to the Cats who bow out at 19-10.

With just 1 senior, 3 juniors, 3 sophomores, and 2 frosh in their rotation the future looks bright for Coach Jones' team.

Tough ending to a great season for the Wildcats. Glad I got a chance to see you guys earlier this year. Go out and get better for next year!

This was a good experience for such a young team . They should be back for the next several years. Would not be surprised if Gallatin turns out to be one of the 8th regions top 5 teams next year ( Shelby,Oldham,Simon Kenton,Gallatin, etc...) Sorry if i left anyone out.

simon kenton will be stronger next year getting the daughtery kid from walton. But gallatin will definately be back next year and i believe they will be a much stronger force.

How does one go from 1 school to another and then play... isn't that the dreaded "R" word in high school sports?

I dont think that is the case, walton is going to be way down next year and he thinks he will be a help and play on a winning team at SK. I cannot say that i would blame him.

Great season cats, Tough lose to a good team. Looks like with the youth and the expereance they gained this season, this team should come back even stronger next year.

Lets hope so coach.. this team worked very hard this year people told them they would be lucky to win 8 games and they won 19. There is plenty room for improvement though. this is a tough group of young kids and i think they will work hard over the summer to improve their game.

from what I saw the cats had their chances , to many missed layups a few TO'S to many in the 2/nd . Great season for them they should be one to beat next year, hate to see Davis not play one more game

^Different thread. I don't want to take away from what GC accomplished this season. I'm like you, it would have been nice to see Davis play a few more games.
