This was a very good game and a pitchers dual. Josh Giles a junior pitcher was on the hill for gallatin today, he gave up 2 hits, 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. He threw his third consecutive complete game for the widcats. They will play Owen county on thursday in the NCKC tournament and scott brown will be pitching, good luck cats.

Time of the game was 1 hour, 15 minutes. It took 1 hour to play 6 scoreless innings. Gallatin scored in the 7th on a leadoff double, wild pitch, and errant pickoff throw at third. Gallatin also had just 2 hits. Their record is now 10-7.

Sounds to me like Gallatin County is playing some very good baseball. How is the new field... a lot of us Villa guys have been curious as t how nice it was. We are really looking forward to the trip down on tuesday for the double header! Looks to be a very good set of games! :banana:

Giles and Brown have been lights out in each of their 3 starts, all complete games. Giles has allowed 12 hits and 5 runs, 4 earned. He has two 3-hitters and in each game 2 of the hits were of the infield variety.

Brown has allowed 12 hits and 4 runs, all earned. he also had a streak of 15 innings in which he did not walk a batter.

Both pitchers will tell you that their defense behind them has been outstanding in those starts.
