Game One: Villa Madonna 7 Gallatin County 4

Both games were played at Gallatin's new field. Winning picther for Villa was Herbstreit who went 6 innings, giving up 3 runs, 1 earned and striking out 5. All in all he didnt have his best stuff today but it was enough to get the job done.

Game two: Villa Madonna 7 Gallatin County 4 (I know same score as above lol)

Winning pitcher was Geoff Lamping who carried a no-hitter due to some great defensive plays through 4 1/3, he struck out 8 in 5. Senior Ben Lonneman came in and got the save in the 7th.

Both teams played pretty solidly all around and the team that made the fewest errors and hit the ball the best in both games won.

All in all it was a good win for Villa, Coming into the game Gallatin was ,I believe, 9-1 at home on the new field. Which I might say looks to shape out pretty nice in the upcoming years.

Gallatin Fan? lol All in all though it was a very good set of games.

Nope.....

Gallatin made more errors in these two games than they have made in their last 10. When they were on there winning streak they only made 2 errors in 8 games.

Yeah thats just the nature of the game. When you field the ball well its a lot easier to win. Especially when you do so for a bunch of games in a row. However when the errors do start to creep up, as they even did with the Reds over the last week or so, they get magnified a few runners score momentum shifts. We know you all are a better team then you all showed. As said it was a good set of games and I think everyone had some fun playing the best sport in the world. Cant ask for more then that. Good luck to Gallatin County with the rest of their season as well as playing on the new field!
